Keep pick 6 and give us the greatest chance of drafting an elite player. If that's not a KPP, we can look to fill that (minor) deficiency by other means.
Yeah minor deficiencies you want to play Shaz at CHB can't wait to see how he goes on Daniher. Our key position stocks are well off in quality compared to other clubs

When you combine 2 impeccable sources...

Its not crazy, There are rumblings that some players are not happy with Jack being pushed out, I believe Hogan and Jack are pretty tight.

Added Fremantle are desperate for a Hogan type even more or atleast as much as we are needing A Key Forward.

Love him or hate him rickys footy mail is usually based on solid info

He's just not a small forward anyway. No real future for him in that role. I'd give him a go out of defence and if he doesn't cut the mustard, I'd move him on.

Not sure throwing him into a role he's shown no aptitude for enhances his chances at longevity. If he can't cut it as a forward who gets occasional midfield rotations, imo he's got a very time limited future at the Pies.

Wasn’t it reported that Hogan went to the Melbourne heirachy only a week or two ago to reaffirm his commitment to the club?

It would be a pretty massive turnaround for him to suddenly change his mind like that.

Am I the only one who isn't buying into the 'sell the farm for Lynch' hype? Have a good go but don't pay ridiculous overs as if he's the last piece of the puzzle. Lynch isn't going to solve our poor forward pressure or midfield efficiency. Lynch's best output against a top eight team in 2017 was three goals. In fact, he only kicked over three goals in any game twice - 5 against a 15th placed North Melbourne and 7 against a 16th placed Carlton. 32 goals in the other 17 games is an underwhelming contribution. I'd hope the club don't offer more than $750k to him per year, 800k absolute max. If the Suns outbid us and he decides to stay, simply move on. It's also important to factor in that he's 26 next year so isn't exactly young - what he'll produce in 2018 is likely to be what he'll produce over the next handful of years. I'd feel much more comfortable offering that cash to a Cameron, Patton or Ben Brown.

Have a real good go but don't go absolutely crazy. He's not the solution to our problems.

He’s still only 24 now. Won’t turn 26 until after the 2018 season finishes so it’s a bit misleading to just say he’s 26 next year.

Understand where your coming from don't mortgage the future of the club on one player, But IMO adding Lynch to our current list improves us by 3 - 4 spots on the ladder for a start.

As a side note, he’s only about 6 months older than the other players you’ve listed in Cameron and Patton, and less than a month older than Brown, who would all cost roughly the same amount of salary and trade currency.

LOL!!! so what's happening? has he decided not to have a birthday next year?
Maybe re-read what I wrote, very slowly, and you might work out what I was saying...

I'd be looking at Broomhead to defence, but happy to add another pacy defender as I think it's a need.

Broomhead would have to develop some intensity in a big hurry if we're playing him as a small defender who has to actually man up on opposition small forwards.

Sounds like Schache can be had for a second rounder now according to this article.

"The Lions remain hopeful a deal will still be completed, but they may have to accept a late first-round or second-round pick in return for the second-year goalkicker."

That's pretty cheap.

would be fine giving them our 2018 second or trading for one of gold campaigners seconds this year for him. Pick 6 on coffield, naughton or Fogarty please.

I think they're all better than Lynch both now and long-term, hence why I'd prefer to overpay for them.
