Didn’t say it was - another poster got that feeling from an interview and I saw same interview and had thought the same
Haven’t read every post but not sure it’s been accepted as a fact
Moore might love playing back - who knows?

Yeah sorry, was talking more about the general feeling in the thread right now, and using your post as an launching pad to discuss it. I don't think that feeling is accurate at all from what I understand of it.

No probs, Quicky

As CFC posted, forward / back doesn’t really matter -
Personally just really hoping he stays

If Sloane and Gaff are gettable for a reasonable price then we will go after them, you don’t ignore quality players like them if they are available

They're not going to be available for a reasonable price and I agree with Dave in that we don't need them as we have plenty of depth in the midfield.

Talls are what we should be targeting if we're looking at FA's or a trade. Whether that ends up being Lynch, McGovern or lesser targets we clearly need talls at both ends of the ground.

Interesting that so far there have been posters almost certain that Lynch is going to Coll or Rich or Hawks. Hard to know what to put weight on. Is this the sort of info you would normally come across?

This is from Hawthorn, they're obviously in the dark as to what's happening at the Holden Centre or at Punt Road but they are very confident that he will be in brown & gold next year. "near certainty" was the exact phrasing.

Richmond thought that Treloar was signed sealed and delivered until he wasn’t. Given I’ve seen multiple posts from various people saying ‘my source within Collingwood/Richmond/Hawthorn says he’s coming to us’ over the past few months, forgive me if I’m skeptical.

Can't someone roll out their doe-eyed kid in a pies jumper with No.30 on the back? Have them crack open their money box and offer an extra 50c for Darcy to stay?? I'd rather Darcy stays, than to get Tom Lynch...

while i think Lynch is a great player, i can't help but feel a massive payment to a newcomer could cause tension in the ranks and squeeze a few out in the next few years. Our list (when fit) is getting pretty competitive.

I could be just reading what I want to read but it only seems to be Richmond and Hawthorn supporters or journalists supporting those teams who say they have sources indicating they're leading the race.

Collingwood-supporting journalists or BF posters are more just hopeful that something has been brewing for a while, particularly given that we keep being linked to him despite being quite quiet.

I'm not sure why but the fact we're being a bit coy has me fairly confident.

If we have him, we don’t need to tell the world. If we have happy the clubs saying nothing. Let others think otherwise

Forgiven. Obviously there's a lot to play out, I enjoy it when people with legitimate inside info drop by our board and pass on what they hear so I was trying to do the same thing, I don't really care where he ends up.
None of what I was told may eventuate but as it stands its more informed than 'journalists' just guessing.

Very interesting post BJ. Say there were 4 offers do you think there would be a huge difference between the highest one and his preferred option?

One would think the three clubs mentioned in the media would be around the same dollar wise because of cap. I have no idea about a 4th club nor their capacity to pay a lot more.

I believe this scenario has included the club he currently plays for? Considering they’re the best placed to offer “turn your head money”.

I love the word...……..Capologist.

We have a shit load of those here on bigfooty. :p
