I would take Setterfield in a heartbeat. There is much to like about him (doesn't waste a kick) runs well and is 192cm midfielder. He was unlucky that the two injuries he suffered were serious (at least not chronic soft tissue injuries).
If he has suffered 2 serious injuries, then I absolutely do not want him.

Finlayson, Hunt and Hombsch would be good pick-ups.

Finlaysons 70+ meter kicks would be very useful with 18-meter goal square.

Hunt could provide the run and carry we need from the backline.

Hombsch could be a very serviceable defender. He can play Key position.

Best thing about all 3 of these players are that they will all come very cheaply.

I agree all three are good sensible options. Not sure they will be all that cheap, but certainly gettable and can each play roles & fill holes.

AFL media reporting Lynch is going to Richmond on a 6 year, 6 million dollar contract.
His sister is being paid $500k to play AFLW and Peggy O'Neal got his GF a job in her law firm.FWIW
EFA

You can only ask the question.

Garlett played the 12 VFL games this year, so if he can't earn a regular best 22 position for Carlton at that age/stage, you'd think he'd be at risk of getting delisted.

Membrey I rate highly and while he hasn't had the stints in the VFL, I get the sense he is one who could be had. He, a bit like Billings feels somewhat out of favour and available for the right price.

Membrey can't be had knightmare, a guy who works for me is best mates with him. He's negotiating a long term deal atm.

And don't worry I asked if he wanted to come over lol .

Pies should ask WC and Josh Kennedy the question.

Hogan looking to get to WA and why wouldn't WC look at getting a young star to come in and build a partnership with Darling.

Kennedy won his flag and might be looking at a return to Melbourne with the idea of getting a long contract.

I feel like he's the type who wouldn't leave, and if he did they'd want too much for him despite how old he is.

If we have dropped out of the race for May, then Kennedy is certainly out of the question.

His manager said today Langdon has not agreed to a contract so $380000 is just a figure plucked from the air. If it seems cheap then rest assured Langdon is not playing for that salary in 2019.

Langdon is worth more than $380k. If that's what we are offering, l wouldn't expect him to be staying.

Kennedy is from WA, he technically went home when he got traded to WC

Langdon is worth about $450-$500k.
If Moore is getting paid more than Langdon, I will personally drive Langdon to whatever club he would like to go to.

That’s quite disrespectful.
Who knows. They live together so I reckon they would have discussed it between them, and reports are that Langdon is almost happy with the amount offered by us.

Langdon could be a really humble guy for all we know and isn't after massive bucks.

So you Free Next Week?

What the hell is happening with Steven May? It went from an absolute certainty, no one had ever been more certain about a trade ever, to now we’re not even being mentioned in any discussion involving him?

What happened was Melbourne hit the panic button after their preliminary final humiliation and are now trading one of the best forwards in the game so that they can get a middle of the road full back with an anger management problem

Without knowing for sure but I am guessing the fact that Darcy Moore is staying may have had an impact. Obviously when there was an impasse between Darcy and the club we needed to start preparing just in case but thankfully given Darcy’s age and potential he has decided to stay.
We may still shop around for a defender but maybe we don’t need to offer massive dollars any more.

Melbourne were asked whether he was a target of theirs and they have said yes. Damo in particular came to the conclusion that they wouldn't have admitted it so publicly if they weren't balls deep in obtaining him.

That said, though, look at the race for Sheil.

I reckon the suns have played this one pretty well. They suspect May would leave next year as a FA . They ask him from a long term commitment to force his hand but will only trade him this year if they can get something really good for him. Worst case scenario they keep him for another year and get and early compo pick. Best case is they wrangle an early first rounder this year in a stronger draft( Freos first pick they give up for hogan) and get to start developing a young player this year instead of next.
