Which now leads to my next question.

Lalor was not even thought of as a top 10 or even top 15 pick only 2 months ago, whilst Smith and FOS have been thought of as top 5 picks for most of this season.

Besides the combine, what makes Lalor such a must get over Jagga, or even FOS?
Lalor has been top 10 for months a while and even top 5.

Other clubs are desperate for him.

Lalor is seen by many as a midfielder who breaks lines, is faster, more explosive and more of an accurate kick. He is also both defensive and offensive and has attitude. His total skill set is more of a rare commodity. But will he be consistent and get enough of the ball?

I'm all for discussion on draft prospects but some of the crap hung on Jagga makes no sense, a lot of it is untrue

What's exciting about Lalor is not just his physicality and skill but he has genuine mongrel about him, he is a junk yard dog and you know he will go to battle for any team he plays in
I think Lalor is the unicorn here - what other similar type is in this draft that has the potential like him?

Hence why at best I want Lalor and FOS, but would take Lalor and Jagga if we missed out on FOS.

Need to get that Pick 2 or 3 first.....

He’s also by far the leading contested and clearance player in the crop. With his frame, and given he doesn’t miss games with injury, it’s just incredible.
Add the immaculate leadership credentials and it’s an extremely solid pitch
Yep to steal a basketball term, the best ability is availability. I think he's a must draft. I think he'll be a standard setter amongst the highschool-class-sized group of draftees we've got coming in.

Jagga will develop quicker than any of the others due his durability. I'm super keen on picking Lalor but he's gonna be a slow burn and that will test some people.

edit: sorry didn't realise this was the trade thread

Lalor spectates too much at stoppages. He is not our guy. Go and watch Vic C v Metro before you disagree Morro

A lot of posters in this thread would split tens in a blackjack match and lose due to mathematics
Coming from the bloke that melted that we should have traded all our picks with Essendon for pick 9 instead of 20 from Brisbane because you couldn't possibly comprehend anyone else having a better offer.

that's where I am at, Lalor has a point of difference with how he plays where as FOS or Jagga are similar in a sort of way

so Lalor and 1 of FOS or Jagga gives us the best of this crop

I’d be happy to keep Shai. I hope we close the Rioli deal and then say to Freo 10,11 or Foff.
1,6,20,23 and keep Shai is okay. Hartley would be our best trade. Trade him out. The more deals he’s involved in is just more room for him to damage our draft value. Unless he pulls something out of the hat in the next two days, the club should send him packing.

jeez josh jenkins rates himself highly

Carlton moving for pick 3 before we do.

Everyone going to start freaking out now.

Luckily West Coast still want Baker and we should end up sliding to 3 in that deal and get 2 of Lalor/FOS/Jagga
Hawks did us a huge favour
