What an absolutely awesome trade period.

1-6-10-11-18-20-23-24

That's the equivalent of 4 years of picks in one year.

4 YEARS OF PICKS IN ONE YEAR
and 4 very bad years at that, massive haul. I'll take one more poor year next year for another high end top 3 pick and then expect some improvement from there on

If we can add 2 out and out stars this year and one next, most teams competing have max 3 stars, we then add the pieces and watch the kids grow.

The Greek Salute.

Seriously mate don’t include me in your multi quotes start behaving yourself

Yes we will dominate the draft but the flip side is we have lost 3 of our top 5 from the BnF.
Rioli-HBF is an easy position to fill and we have numerous kids knocking the door down to fill that spot
Bolton-Freak but flakey.....has kicked 30+ goals the last 3 years so we need someone to step up there. Campbell?
Baker-His leadership is the void he leaves. Was bog average this year. Obviously struggled with the decision somewhat...
JGTI-Thanks for 2017-202.....besides that he became a list cloger.

To be fair their concessions were much better BUT, we actually have a core list already and the ability to buy a truck tonne of draft picks in the next two years so inevitably we will have a super list with no "I am homesick" vibes so we can keep them all.

This is going to epic and many clubs don't see how big and strong we will be.A year or two we’ll be looking at FA .
And
The cap space we now have will be huge for us going forward. Pretty sure we’ll still be viewed as a destination club.
On so many fronts this is huge for the club.
Just have to smile and put up with some short term pain and ribbing from oppo supporters

What I really love about these trades is that we understood the amazing talent and depth, yet evenness of this years pool, and turned all our trades into multiple first round picks rather than just single early picks. Getting two early picks for Rioli and Bolton turns two exiting quality players into four.

That's how you rebuild fast boys! I'm getting a tattoo of Blair Hartley as we speak.
Is there room for that on your appendage - what will happen when it goes back to normal?

We've take quite bad unders for Bolton imo, got huge overs for Rioli. Baker we got a fair deal maybe slightly overs. Graham imo we got unders.

Rioli picks will end up about 7 & 27 = 2,347 points. Roughly the value of pick 2.5.(ie in between picks 2 & 3)

Bolton picks will be 12 & 13 = 2,480 less what will be a 5 pick downgrade 17 down to 22(180 points,) and a pick around 40(429 points) = 1,871 points total for Bolton. Roughly the value of pick 5.

Baker we got a pick that will end up arounnd 17 = 1,025 points

Graham
we got a pick that will ultimately be around 45 = 347 points.

In the wash-up:

Rioli for the value of pick 2.5
Bolton for the value of pick 5
Baker for pick 17
Graham for pick 45

Because of the Rioli deal we are miles ahead but the other 3 deals if aything are a slight net loss. If this draft is as strong as expected then we have had a very big win.

But if someone said we get appreciably more for a 27yo Dan Rioli than a 25yo Bolton, you just wouldn't have believed that was possible.

A further surprising element to this is we seem to have escaped paying any salary. Which will really set us up to go shopping, especially as we have no valuable free agents likely to leave any time soon.

I come in peace. Love the work your club has done so far this trade period.

Have heard you guys are very keen on both Jagga & O'Sullivan.

Would 6 & 11 interest you for pick 2?
Not in this draft.....
It seems like Lalor is firming as pick 1. We could get Langford or MAYBE Smith still at 6.

I'd do it, but a lot on here wouldn't so don't expect a favourable response lol
