Melbourne trading everything out. Think they use 5 & 9 rather than trade up unless they get something else back from Norf.
They still have 2x 1st rounders over 2 years and supposedly this draft is better than next year so does it really matter?
Good risk IMO.
You can always trade back into the draft next year

I’m curious to see how Greeves goes. He had a burst of pace and strength through hips in the futures that I didn’t see in the metro vs Queensland 17s game.

It looks a good draft for pace and outside run though.
Seen Greeves be a tough match up forward for Eastern. Not always the best set shot but tough to contain for a bottom ager. Was good in the futures game, want to see more at that level in midfield to have him in same bracket as the other 2.

Would be great for us if he can elevate himself into pick #1 contention as a Vic kid.

They'll likely trade 2026 into 2025. It's what they do.

I'm more meaning they have nothing left this year so 5 & 9 for 2 means they're done at pick 2 so they maybe just hold unless North are offering something back.

I wouldn’t be trading my future first if I was Melbourne. It could result in being anywhere from pick 2-5…

Waddya talking about.... they're gonna have 5 first round picks next year when the cook and the meth head try to get out.

we should of done the deal with Essendon over Brisbane. Could of spent less picks for greater return.
Nope, our board would have went into meltdown if we gave up that many points.

And how would we have got that done? Essendon wouldn’t have accepted only our junk picks unlike Brisbane. Pick 9 for a future first suggests Essendon are probably banking on Melbourne finishing bottom 10 next year. Probably would have cost us the pick 14 as well for the Baker trade which never happened.

9 is worth 1469 so 300 or 1.2 times point upgrade over 800 or 1.9 point upgrade.

Of course the f1 and f3 makes it different.

But I’m guessing you would have happily negotiated for Lenape people by trading manhattan island to the Dutch for some glass beads because land had zero value to you but a shit tonne for the Dutch 😝

800 - 395(Pick42) = 405 points differential. Thats not net zero is it? It’s still an extra 405 points. Plus a hand shake agreement on not bidding on Ashcroft at 1 (+500 points) and Marshall before Pick 20.

Blair isn’t running a charity? Well he’s donating like he is supporting one.

Who else has a better deal for Brisbane in this draft? I’m still waiting to hear it.

Obtaining pick 20 is a good thing, I’m just querying as the price we paid was overs and why we felt we had to do it.
The Bombers are gaining 1747 points from their trade with the Dees. Does that still make out ~800 point differential seem excessive, or good market value?

Can't understand why he'd want to move back to victoria.Once he retires he has 40+ years living in the shithole of a state.Whats the rush.
Who's a better chance of winning a flag within 4-5yrs?
Port Or Pies?
neither
