So what's the issue with Blight? Not happy at Richmond? If so, then why? What's happened?
Bloke isn’t 18, and has moved his life across the other side of the country.

That’s the game and I know he’s hardly Rance (hence, doubtless, a very modest $ offer from us), but IF someone back in Perth is offering double the years, and he gets to live with his partner, vs share house stuff for a season and then who knows, reckon most of us would see that as an obvious choice.

Not that Bigfooty posters are by any means experts but in his debut game he kept one of their 2 colossus's pretty honest and we had him rated as the 4th number of votes. His 2nd game against Freo he received the 9th most number of votes. He was dropped on the back of 2 pretty good performances. He then put his nose down and was killing it at Reserves and took a long time to get back into seniors.

He played against Hawks where our backline were pummelled thanks to dreadful mids. Miller was putrid again on the back of constant lousy games and they dropped Blight again. The dude has his family in Perth, his gf plays professional netball over there. With Young & Gibcus out long term and no guarantee how long til fully fit the club really should offer him a 2 year deal so he can settle in and his Mrs can try move to a Vic netball team. Especially since Ryan got 3 years on the back of zero output.

You'd have to seriously whipped to consider your missus netball career a reason to jeopardise your afl career. theyd barely be making minimum wage out of it, if it's even a professional league at all.

But WC is probably a better fit for him. Barrass going and McGovern on his last legs. They have 3 open spots to nail in that defence. Given he is from there I think it's an easy decision he takes the two years from them. Question is what does WC give us for the trade, but keep in mind he is our of contract and can walk through th3 draft. Seems certain to go to me.

Rookie afl wage $90k/year. $45 k so far + match payments maybe. I remember Pickett's first year was Rookie salary plus a lot of match payments.

for 2025, Blight is looking at $100k. + games. I guess he will play some footy at RFC.

If WCE offer 2 years, more games so he will make more money there.

Netball pays about $90k a year.

I guess finding a netball club here would be an option.

There has been a few murmurs that the playing group in general don’t like yze.
Has your source ever mentioned this by any chance?
does it really matter? Any players that don’t show them the door.

Maybe a few senior players not on the same page and rotten apples. Should have got on board like Broad ,Prestia ,Vlastuin and Balta buy in not jump ship. The kids love Yze through.

Not sure what game you watching Fremantle exposed him.
