Bailey Smith would be nice. Hope we’ve at least enquired. Young, elite talent that has leg speed and is a decent ball user.

Knows where the lines are too. Can play between them, around them and most importantly through them.

do bombers have enough points to get Kako? or will they just use pick 8?

could we get pick 8 of them ?

Highly, highly unlikely. Barrass is contracted so WC get the max for his value. Baker is not so Richmond doesnt get the mx. For what its worth Ive said it will take a heap in trade to get Bolton for the same reason.

Just because Baker isn’t contracted doesn’t mean that whichever team he nominates gets a discount on any deal.

A deal will get done, players and player managers generally ensure that it does. Players rarely want to leave the former club high and dry, and the fact that RFC has the first selection in the pre-season draft means that card wont be played.

I suspect that Richmond will ask for a FRP; however it materializes is immaterial to RFC, but a FRP is Baker’s worth based on similar recent trades. It won’t ask for ‘overs’ etc. (like they will for a Rioli and Bolton deal), but they’ll still ask for fair compensation.

List manager’s - as we’ve seen with Petracca - don’t generally put the club in a position to obtain a player without having the assets to part with. The League would know Baker’s worth (the fact if he was a free agent he’d likely be on a deal that nets a end of First Round pick anyway); especially WCE’s new list manager who was RFC’s Recruiting Manager (and recruited Baker) for the best part of a decade. He’ll know exactly what worth RFC put on Baker.

Baker will head to WA and a deal will get done, with a very very real chance it’ll be for a FRP.

If they don’t have enough they’ll just go into deficit next year; which may be easier to manage with an expansion in future trading.

Suspect they’ll want a player at 8 + Kako.

Bolton is 9 & 10
Rioli is 6 & 13
Baker is Hawks 1st pick via Eagles.

We need to introduce an automatic ban for anyone who gets this wrong from now on.
As long as we can ban people who suggest this when it doesn't happen

You nearly got it correct but just failed short

3 more live trades
Pies offer F1 to Richmond for #20
Geelong offer F1 to Richmond for #21
After te Ashcrof trade Brisbane now looking to get back into the draft before a Marshall bid and offer Richmond F1 for #22

We are finished on day 1 with 6 1st round selections and pushing 3 picks into round 1 in 2025
Richmond have 2 more later picks for Day 2
No way should we be trading out those picks if there are still good players available at those selections. Use them when you know their worth, not gamble that next years will be better. Just imo

Hmmm not bad. I'd say with such a deep draft, or so the experts say into the 30's. I doubt we'd give up say a pick 22 for say a pick 17 next year in a weaker draft.

I would back the Pies to drop, possibly Geelong (but they'll be gifted a soft draw again) but not Brisbane.
I reckon we might move 2 x picks into next year, maybe even just 1 if the players we want are still on the board.

Atleast we will have the option to make an informed decision on the night.

Once it gets to those picks we know who is still on the board so if who we rate highly enough is still available we take the kid, if not and all our top 20 prospects are gone we can trade for future first.

This deserves a ban mods. Not a believer or a team player.

This sort of behaviour is impacting on our culture here. We must take a stand 😀

Gonna start handing out bans. This board needs a full rebuild imo

confused, you talking about your post? ;)

Not even Crazy Vossy would make that trade.

Starting to think you're an AFL plant designed to continue to bring us undone from the inside. Its hard to understand your crazy trade suggestions otherwise and close alignment with other club posters

Lord is definitely the 25' Dixon replacement. - Dixon's body is only just holding on.
shame because he's got something about him Lord and will be a interesting watch over next few years.

I agree, I would offer one of the many picks in the 20s we will have

Lord is only 17 months younger than Koschitzke, almost 22. Koschitzke has done more than Lord, even when compared at the same age. Jacob cost us pick 45. Why exactly would we be coughing up a pick in the 20's in a deep strong draft for Lord?
