We interested?
After using our past 2 first rounders on trades, we may have to use it at the draft because of the 2 from every 4 years rule…Hope we keep next years picks intact. With Rankin, Lukosius and King out of contract and Rowell in 2023. One more poor Sun's season might shake a few loose.
Doubt it and hope not.
Cue back 2 years lol.....
Hope not, we need skill & pace !!We interested?
ONLY?Only Suns player I am interested in is Rowell as he is a pure rover type like Liberatore and Viney.
I would actually sell half the farm for him to play in the middle with Walsh and Cripps.
Someone said previously that we have no issues with first rounders till 2023 as we used 2 (have to use 2 in 4 years) in the 2019 draft on Kemp and Philp. If so we can trade this years and next years if we like. After using our past 2 first rounders on trades, we may have to use it at the draft because of the 2 from every 4 years rule…
Hopefully all the U19’s competitions, particularly the national championships get a full year in for the first time in three years, should make for a good time to grab a talented kid on overall full exposure…
This would be my preference…
Rankine and Lukosius probably head back to SA if wanting out, Rankine has some serious talent but has been extremely disappointing, Lukosius is not the type we need….
Rowell is a ripper, hasn’t come back from the injury anywhere near the handful of high end games, probably needs a preseason under him, feel he’s a loyal type and won’t move…
King i can see moving particularly if the Suns struggle again, massive upside and would benefit from playing in a better side, would cost 2 firsts with a second coming back…
ONLY?
I am interested in at least 20 of their players.
would not even give pick 6 has not proved anything yetI wouldn't be giving anything more than pick 6 for Cerra. He's tracking pretty well as a player...not a superstar and about how you'd expect an original pick 5-6 to progress. I don't think he's proved he's anything higher. Yes they've invested in him, but all clubs do.
You don't think will enter next year in deficit ?Really interested to see who the Pies let go to get more picks for Daicos
Or, will they be trying to get back into this draft with a future 1st
Another fire sale coming?
Just seen that myself, that gives us another opportunity i guess depending on the player available if another trade opportunity was to come our way I’d prefer to go back to the draft next year and restock some more talent…Someone said previously that we have no issues with first rounders till 2023 as we used 2 (have to use 2 in 4 years) in the 2019 draft on Kemp and Philp. Really?
3rd in 2019, 4th in 2018, 3rd in 2020. 10th at GC in 2017 (Jack Martin was third that year behind Gary jnr. and ahead of Lyons, Miller and May)
Is there a better rebounding HB in the competition. I mean clearly better?
Darn consistent.
They could have thrown in steak knives but really?
Against a kid at 8 - in a compromised draft - no idea whether they'll make it in 3 or 4 years time...
Would the 65 help Fremantle with points for there NGA ?Rethinking the trade scenario, if SPS & Brander were involved in the same deal
SPS, 25 for Brander, 29, 65
Think it is acknowledged that the info was leaked to early and we should of split our first earlier -- essendon we're in front of us in the National draft and would of kept him -- as fate has it he probably should of stayed .. think durdin will make the deal sweeter in the end got something this kid.. amazing closing speed -- should of been exposed more but them's the apples ..I've got no issue with people liking the deal, I think we got our pants pulled down.
I cannot think of a deal for someone like Saad, with his age and position played being taken into consideration, ever being so rich. We overpaid and I don't think we really needed to.
It doesn't mean we cannot be happy with having Saad on our list, but I think Austin could have done much better for us.
You don't think will enter next year in deficit ?
If we could use our crystal ball (or negotiate behind the scenes), I'd take either one of those 4 over Cerra. After using our past 2 first rounders on trades, we may have to use it at the draft because of the 2 from every 4 years rule…

Is the duduction big enough to take you out of first round -That's why they need to manage the situation. If they aren't trading out players, they should look to trade next years pick where they could still hold a position in the first round in 2022, rather than just accepting the deduction

Rowell and King for me, King can also play as a KPD so would be a perfect fit for a key defence spot….If we could use our crystal ball (or negotiate behind the scenes), I'd take either one of those 4 over Cerra.
