Jesse White, if we could work out a solid deal is another who we should be looking at IMO.

Why would we want a softer shitter version of Will Minson who is poorer both up forward and in the ruck...bizarre person to be after as he won't be on an AFL list in 2 years time and had he not been contracted for next year would lkely have been delisted by Sydney this year.

So with Tarrant who is not being paid retiring someone has to take a paycut so you can draft a player to replace him? And that's assuming any guys who have re-signed haven't had a pay increase which of course has happened.

Who said Tarrant is retiring and not being paid? Certainly that's news to everyone.

Also, to "draft" a player to replace retirees actually works in the club's favour considering draftees are on minimum wage. It's not as if we are adding Lance Franklin or Chris Judd to the list.

Tarrant said himself that he wasn't getting paid in an interview I saw, it came directly out of his mouth and said that he came back to win a premiership. As for if he's retiring I assumed that he was.

Given you guys wanted a first rounder for Josh Hill, I'd hate to think what you think he is worth. Looks like we'll have to give up our first rounder for Curran given his recent form, so there won't be any good picks available.

All that said the main issue is his salary, which I've heard is upwards of 750k per year. Given Hawthorn don't have a player on more than 500k per year, Bulldogs would have to pay a significant amount, probably 40/50% of his salary which won't happen.

Dogs would be better of trading him to a club who can pay 100% of his salary.

He is being paid the minimum which is about 100k, which certainly assists our TPP and cap, however he is not retiring. He is contracted for 2012.

Dogs would be better of trading him to a club who can pay 100% of his salary.

I doubt a team that has that much cap space would want him.

Pick 14 + Edwards & Nason to the Crows
Dangerfield & Maric to Richmond.

Nason probably not necessary in the trade but id like to get rid of him.
Edwards is a good player who id be happy to keep so maybe;

Pick 14 + Bock Compo pick for
Danger and Maric.

pick 14 is probably unders for danger and end of first round compo would be a big win for maric so its probably pretty close if adelaide wanted to move on danger that would be pretty decent.

i doubt adelaide would do that

a) doubtful afc would move danger on unless he wanted out

b) danger is a fan fav they think he is jesus

c) always look first for a like for like ie, would target a in the 22 young player to return ie menzel/ tapscott.

but as i said not a terrible offer.
