Wasn't too keen on Hill tbh but as long as it means he's kicking out D.Pearce and not say Langdon or Tucker then I'm happy enough to get him. Just not sure 23 (as a standalone swap, always had to be involved) is worth it. Now he's here I'll do my best to like him. Sounds like Logue is going top 15 now anyway. Rotham is ranked 30 in Twomey's ranking so you just never know for pick 34.

Anyway Mayne for Hill sounds really good though.

Hill adds pace to the team. I personally would have wanted a pick come back to us as Freo need to pick a lot of players this draft but think Hill will be a good pick up as pick 23 could end up 27 or more

With Pick 23 out but with Kersten and Hamling still in negotiation, I hope we can preserve our late 2nd rounder (Pick 35) and package it together with Barlow in return for one of Gold Coast's earlier 2nd rounders (22,24 or 26).

No doubt we paid overs, but we also got paid overs for Mayne.

There will be potentially very good players at 34 in sight such as Rotham as you point out.

Brad Lloyd is doing what he always does. He is not to blame when we can't trade and no genius when we can. There is one difference. The players want to be in WA.

If you remember RTB said after last year that trading as a WA club you were doing so with one hand tied behind your back and from now on the strategy was to only target WA boys. It limits your options but gives you at leadt some chance of success.
