I thought he looked alright at AFL level this year. Has definitely improved since he went to Collingwood. Can he pinch hit forward?

Eagles have enough young KPDs and Johnson and Dawson are probably done after this year. Definitely room for Hamling, Pearce, Collins and Marsh. That's quality young depth.

Played alright against us. Kept Mayne goalless (lol) and had 17 disposals and 8 marks at 100% disposal efficiency coming back the other way. Not bad for a guy in his 7th game.

He is free. If he struggles after a couple of years we can delist him. Hell we can rookie list him if we want, it's between us and the Eagles.

Well, they don't seem awfully pleased he is going over on the Collingwood board. Some hilarious trade ideas thrown around.

I'm pretty apathetic about picking him up. If the Hamling thing falls through then maybe, only if it's really on the cheap.

McCarthy - 12 months out of the game
Hill - Downhill skier

Forgive my negativity but I have incredible skepticism of these trades and sorry, I'm not going to jump up and down with excitement because Bond and Lloyd have finally done something....I would be a bit more excited if they had credits in the bank but they're coming back from negative as far as I'm concerned.
In your eyes, will Heppell/Hurley/Hooker be shit next year? McCarthy is what, 20? Has about 8-10 years left in him, showed plenty. Hill a downhill skier? Not too many Hawks players would be bragging about there 2016 year, Bruest and Smith were pretty average too. The two hawks runners (Smith,Hill) had average years and Hawks went out in straight sets, fair to say they play a big part in the hawks gameplan. Hill is 23 with plenty of footy left. We're doing alright laddy.

You'd have to think there is potential for massive improvement to consider listing him (ie his kicking). It shouldn't cost anything for either us or WCE.

Re Hamling I have a suspicion we are trying to get a trade for Kersten sorted first. That way we retain the threat of PSD for Hamling and Hamling knows his best mate is def. going to Perth so can announce he wants to as well. Geelong may baulk at 61 (which with academy etc would move up to late 50s) but I think 43 is too high given he is out of contract etc. Sometimes you just lose out when that happens.

Also possible that another trade (e.g. Barlow) may give us a pick in between to use. Hopefully Kersten is sorted by tomorrow afternoon and then we work on Hamling to complete our trades. GCS would be mad not to want Micky B but happy to keep him although the starting inside mid roles are probably taken at Freo.

I think we have had our early trades and agree that we have probably offered only pick 61 to Geelong for Kersten. Unless Geelong are very strapped for cap space, I would imagine that they will hold out almost to the very end to see if we will offer something better, I certainly would.

I think they want something in the 50's minimum. We'll do a few pick swaps towards the end of trade period with clubs trying to rack up some spare points and get it done there I would've thought.

Pick 77 back in 2013 and the Pies played Nathan Brown ahead of him. Good athlete but not much of a footballer. Allikat could probably reveal more given she watches their VFL side.
He'd certainly keep our club doctor busy. Has similar hamstrings to Tanner, but less talent.
He's a decent to good VFL player, but it doesn't translate to the AFL. He's not an upgrade on anyone on our list. I'd rather rookie Bootsma, and I really really don't want to rookie Bootsma.
