Reminds me too much of Aaron Fiora.
You think ? i think he is very skillful and i believe he could be a very good player. But then again we would need to give up alot (if came to us through trade) being a former Pick 3.

Correct me if im wrong doesnt Nathan Brown (collingwood) have a brother also on Collingwoods list, who is young.

No.

His twin brother Mitch plays for WCE - was Pick #16 in 2006.

and has just recently done his knee.

Re: Ellis

I'd rather we went after Beau Dowler - who was Pick #6 from the same draft (2005) would provide a good target up at CHF for us.

Could be a Win/Win for both parties (Carlton and Beau Dowler) He hasnt been selected and he has alot of potential, is he contracted ?

Unless he signed on an extension his initial 3 year contract would be ending in October.

I wouldn't get too excited about him though - since he broke his hip bone in a car accident just before the draft, he's looked like Luke Livingston.

In fact, he's been playing full back for Box Hill (and they finished last!) - the similarities are uncanny !! :D

Is it just me or so you guys not rate Brad Fisher. I think he is a gun and if your looking at someone like Beau Dowler I have watched hiscareer unfold and he is a leading full forward (Fevola ring a bell) so i would say someone like Tim Boyle also of the hawks couldbe the key, what about Courtney Johns and the bbombers, limited opps at windy hill, change of clubs could do him good, big bodied always gives a contest. some one like that. but on the other hand i would say you structrue is fine. maybe that one tall back short. Waite is a superstar, Saetanta is solid but not outstanding, thats all your short of.

I am also of the belief that Carlton need another inside mid aswell. you need more players that can go and get their own ball. Yes Judd is Judd but he is still recovering, murphy is young and is starting to perform like he was in his first few games and stevens was always an outside mid.

Maybe a ruck option aswell. Cloke is not really a rcuk, more like a utility and Kruzer will not be a ruck option for at least 3 years, Hampson i have not seen much of but he looks ok, but again, could not turn a match.

I cant believe how pathetic our backline looked last Thursday its a joke.
Back when Carlton were good we had such a strong backline now we have nothing.
Carlton need to stop recruiting mid fielders and recruit a big time backman
like a Glass or Rutten type of player

i hope the Carlton board and Brett Ratten wake up to this issue because it is so devastatingly obvious that it is our problem

Did you notice the fact we could not score goals?? i think forwards are our first priority .... you need to kick goals to win games and if we only have fev and fisher down there its looking scary ! ...

on the otherhand our backline has been the shining light so far to come out of the first to rounds.. Our midfielders have been applying next to no pressure what so ever .. making the backmens job alot harder especially when your up against the richo's, browns, riewoltds, kosis, gherigs ..and so on ...

What do we need? Here is a list:
Key defenders: That way Waite can play CHF, which should mean we have the key forward posts filled (Fevola and Waite). Jamison is not yet big enough physically to perform at FB for the next 19 rounds of the year and too inexperienced as well.
Medium/small size forwards: Haven't seen much of Ellard but by judging some of the posts I've seen, he seems a prospect and can fill the FP and have Betts under pressure to perform, or allow him into the midfield or HFF. Has pace too. Murphy can play on a flank, was a goalkicking midfielder/half forward and we're starting to see some of that come to the fore.
Inside midfielders: We have alot of "outside" midfielders like Stevens, Scotland, Simpson and Walker (though the latter 2 are more wingmen). Not that it's exactly a role, but more goalkicking midfielders. Judd will kick more as he gets fitter and Murphy will probably contribute more as well. A 20 goal a season midfielder is a huge advantage.
And finally, some midfielders with speed, speed to burn off opponents and take the game on.

at last someone sees the light. I do see how you see the fact you need more goal kicking options. someone like dowler would be an advantage as Fev could play out on the fifty.
