Can we get bowes and pick 7 then on trade bowes for someone else...Maybe we can get Bowes and pick 7 and trade it back to them to get rankin

Is that even allowed in the AFL
Are you sure AFL allows that? I thought you couldn't do that.We cannot on trade a player, but we can facilitate his move to another club - but the issue here is Bowes salary. Without reading the ruling in detail, I believe the AFL may let us pay his salary at another club.
For example say Bowes chooses Collingwood - they cannot afford his wage due to their cap issues. We get agree to pay Bowes wage for the final 2yrs of his current contract.
I'm all in on Wanganeen-Milera. Former Saints are a charm.
Yuck, no!Callum Wilkie is out of contract at the end of 2023.. Jonas
-type replacement?
Jonas plays as a KPD but is under 190cm. We don’t need a Jonas replacement, we need another tall defender.Yuck, no!
We have a Jonas replacement in Jones…

The other thing is, Jack Bowes is a decent player in his own right. I don't get why Suns just let him walk for a fourth rounder while keeping their pick 7 to a club that's genuinely interested in him. The buying club could just sign him on for longer and spread his salary over a few years? Bowes isn't a bad player by any stretch

Lachie is 186cm, way to short for that in between / 3rd tall defender role.Of course we need a lockdown KPD, everyone’s magic number is 195, I get it and agree.
I just think there’s a lot of value in a guy that sits at an in-between size that can handle awkwardly sized matchups and have decent disposal, ala OG Jonas.
I have my reservations that the club even knows wtf it plans to do with L. Jones.
Wilkie is a gun and would be great alongside Aliir and another genuine tall defender.Yuck, no!

If we want to replace over the hill 2023 Jonas sureCallum Wilkie is out of contract at the end of 2023.. Jonas
-type replacement?
Or sisterWe attracted 5 ex Gold Coast players to our AFLW team, surely one of them was Bowes's girlfriend
The best we can do is a Hinkley extensionSeriously can this club give me something to be positive about for 2023
I don't care how much the club values jonas.
He's been a massive structural weakness at our club for half a decade. He's just too slow for smalls and too small for talls.
But for some inconceivable reason we gave the bloke that has no actual spot in our 22 the captaincy.
Tin pot s**t
Not in the player, in the Jonas replacement…Wilkie is a gun and would be great alongside Aliir and another genuine tall defender.
The saints would want a lot at the trade table.
If that's the case I'm done with this clubThe best we can do is a Hinkley extension
Yeah I mean NBA calls is "Cash consideration" I think? I'd like something similar in AFL too. That’s it I’m not sure, but the AFL have indicated that they are willing to look at salary dumps in a different way - as others have stated the AFL are wanting to be more americanised in the trading/player movement space.
With regards to Bowes himself, I think he would be an upgrade on some of our playing group - but he would want to come here. The player has the final decision on which team he moves too.. my example above was showing that he “wanted” to go to team X but they could not afford his $ - we could help that happen with a benefit coming back to us - it is just a hypothetical.
If it was a vic club proposing say Nth they could sign off on it.
Tradio peaked with Sam McClure and Nick Dal Santo. Best unintentional comedy ever put to broadcast.
