What am I reading we are not going to pay Bowes to play at another club .
And I throw a few hail Marys myself

Come on Robbo join the fun, you just know the club are going to F.. this up - let’s give them some outrageous ideas for the parrot to repeat on his afternoon radio show.

But hey at least we are stable…

PORT ADELAIDE

Players that could leave

Karl Amon
is gone via unrestricted free agency. Trent Dumont’s future is less certain. There’s a fair bit of interest in Miles Bergman, who could be on the move and has interest from Victoria, while West Coast reportedly holds interest in Mitch Georgiades.

Players that could arrive

Josh Dunkley
loomed as a big option but has nominated Brisbane as his preferred destination. Continues to fascinate, with a move to South Australia far from ruled out. Tom Highmore is a South Australian and is out of contract struggling to cement a spot in the Saints’ senior side. Port Adelaide was interested in Brodie Grundy but he is keen on staying in Victoria. Junior Rioli has told West Coast he wants to be traded to the Power - would the compensation for Amon, likely a second-round or end-of-first-round pick at best, do it? Jack Graham has been linked to a move back to SA.

Who’s already gone

Steven Motlop (retired), Robbie Gray (retired), Sam Skinner (delisted), Sam Mayes (delisted), Taj Schofield (delisted), Karl Amon (free agency)

same old rumours nothing exciting

I still don’t get how there is a question regarding the Rioli trade. How can anyone think that the Amon pick would not be significant overs, let alone not enough?

The media asking if a end of first round pick would be enough for a player whose been out of the game for 2 years …

It’s just beyond belief that everyone is okay with this game being sullied by the boys club that runs it.

I often call it a Mickey Mouse league but to be honest that is an insult to leagues that get called Mickey Mouse leagues.

Don’t know how this would work
I suspect we may look at splitting pick 8 into a late first rounder and early second rounder.
then pass the late first rounder onto Richmond for graham.
That “kind of scenario”

I would not do that deal. In fact I’d be furious if we did it but that’s what it smells like.

Jesus, that would be absolutely gross.

Brennan Cox involved?

If melb want ports pick 8 and another first rounder what the **** is port meant to be getting back?

What’s the benefit in trading pick 8 down to 13? Freo can’t trade a future 2nd if they’re trading a future first. (And even then a future second which could be a late second to move out of the top 10 of the draft is a average deal for port who doesn’t need to get involved.

North aren’t giving up a first rounder for logue and tucker, they’ll give up a future 2nd plus late picks.

While I’m keen to get more picks in next years draft I also wouldn’t swap pick 8 for freos 2023 1st rounder. That could easily be pick 8 for a mid to late teens pick.

The only way I would want port to get involved in a pick swap here is for overs for us to be the circuit breaker.

Like pick 8 for freos 23 1st and norths 23 2nd and a decent 3rd rounder this year. Even then im hesitant if north rise up the ladder in 23.
