Crows supporters crack me up. They're saying if they're giving up pick 5 for Rankine, they should be getting a sweetener.

They're paying the dude $850K a year and they're getting dudded.

They remind me of the tipping scene in Reservoir Dogs.

Too many feel like they are 'owed' something for all the anti-crows sentiment of the camp, racism, brown paper bagging players contracts.

Apparently his "Body of Work" is not up to a pick 5.

Rhys Matherson from the lions on the cheap? He’s a campaigner but so was Hardwick when he came across. We don’t have any campaigners at the moment.

I said it when it happened - Brisbane going for Dunkley was a snap decision after they got smashed in the prelim. They never planned for it, and it was more a case of them looking at us and going 'Shit, Port gets Dunkley and they'll get better than us, plus we need a big bodied mid...let's put in an offer he can't refuse.'

And Dunkley was like 'Sure, I'd prefer to go to Brisbane', thinking that if things went wrong (as they have), he could always fall back on moving to Port at the last minute - but then the Horne-Francis saga happened. So he's stuck in a situation where he could have to nominate his contract terms and end up with whoever matches that contract...which won't be Brisbane because they have to use their picks for Ashcroft.

If Dunkley goes to the PSD and we didn't take him at our pick I'd be disappointed.

He has to make it through the National Draft first.

The dogs want similar to what GWS got for Taranto and some on here thought we would get him for the Amon compo 😂

Port expected to get an end of 1st rounder for Amon. Their offer was 4 years at around 600-650 with an easy escalator to a 5th year - compared to Brisbane's 6 years at 750k. Put those factors together in conjunction with Dunkley getting the Dogs' B&F, and his price went up a bit.

So we're getting a young gun and a bunch of fringe players.

Well they are certainly moves, not incredible but they're moves
u wot m8? If we get JHF it's by far the biggest trade the club has ever made. What more would you want to satisfy you?

Landing JHF alone would be an incredible trade period. Also getting a small forward and tall back- it would be elevated to an incredibly incredible off season.

Wow, we have so much going on. I hope WC will entertain our pick 8 + Bonner and an other pick for pick 2 and Rioli.
It's a big ask but barring coughing up one of our good young players, it's the only way I can see JHF getting done.

The problem is that the club is chasing these fringe players to be transformative players to our game.

JHF will be a weapon in time.

But none of these blokes look like they'll deliver the flag in the short term.

JHF doesn’t need to instantly be a star like he would at north or Adelaide.

He can focus on a defined role which suits the team. Similarly to Daicos at collingwood
