Id give up a 3rd round or later for Francis, I'd risk a 2nd for McAsey and hope he's a late bloomer and I'd pick up Borlase as a DFA on the rookie list.

Only one of Francis or McAsey or similar player that we give up picks for.

McAsey isnt a late bloomer.

Wasn't Pasini well on track to debut? If we believe in him, I think we are fine key depth wise, at the very least he should be better than delistees.
If Jonas and McKenzie go soon, and Skinner gets delisted. We are left with only Aliir, Clurey and Pasini.

Going into next season with the KPD stocks essentially the same just with the addition of Pasini who is coming off an ACL doesn't seem like a recipe for success. Jonas another year older, McKenzie closer to retirement, Clurey just being bog average outside of a great game every 6 weeks.

2 years ago when the club acquired Aliir there was no chatter about it prior to the 2020 trade period. I wouldn't hesitate to acquire a starting KPD this trade period, though I sense the club will elect to focus on the small forwards instead and shore up that position whilst hoping Aliir, Cluz, McKenzie and Jonas can get the club by there for 12 months before focusing on that in the 2023 off-season.

Lucky the Crows didn't blow a high pick on him........Oh wait......

I would be targeting Harrison Petty and Brennan Cox. Both really good key defenders and South Aussies too.
C4 said we targeted Petty last year but he re-signed.

Hes played 11 games so far this year so he'll be harder to dislodge.

With the Bulldogs looking like they want to get Liam Jones, maybe one of their surplus KPD's (e.g. the uncontracted Zaine Cordy) might be worth a try. Cordy's younger and has over 100 games of experience. At least he'd be a reasonable stop gap while we try to develop Lord and Pasini.

Logue should be a target he’s still ooc and played out of position all year because of Pearce, Cox and Chapman.
Also if Jackson does go to Freo, they need to trade with Melbourne. Seems like Logue is one they will put up for trade. So Petty might be gettable. Would be happy with either.

Id love Tim Taranto.

I'd trade our first for hopper. Don't think the crows would trade pick 3 so we should get in his ear and see if he's willing to come to Adelaide. Gun

Don't think his worth a top 10 pick will be 26 at the start off next season.

Brisbane depth players Deven Robertson, Tom Berry and potentially Rhys Mathieson as well as West Coast utility Jackson Nelson are drawing interest from rival teams, according to AFL Media. (from above link)

Maybe we can swap Williams for Robertson and settle the argument of who made the best decision on draft night?

C4[2]Yo`DooR did mention a while back we were interested in Ely Smith from Brisbane. Don't know if that's still the case.

Jackson might have some backing, but can someone tell me how a third year player can afford a 1.74m dollar house?
based on average AFL player salary of $350k servicing a mortgage for $1.7M easily.

Sheesh anything west of Brighton road that is decent is about $1.7M now and I’d be pretty sure most of those households aren’t bringing in $350k a year.

I’ll accept we lose our 1st pick for JHF but if we give up Jedd Busslinger for anyone else it’s pitchfork time.

I'm assuming we target a midfielder and hopper would be better than anyone else we can get at our pick. At 26 is in his prime and should get 100 games of him

3rd year player.
Top 10 pick
Played 45 games.

So at a low balling figure first rounders get 120-140k base salary.

He's played 45 games which each pay another 5k.

So he's earned at least 585k already in his career, or about 200k a season (excluding any incentive or bonus)

Port waiting for the crumbs....
Robertson or Hopper would be ok if we swapeed them with a player, but neither is that fleet footed. v

And we already have Wines, Drew, Mead, Dumont as inside mids that are not quick. Would prefer a mid who gets the hard agate, then bursts out of the congestion.
