Because you can't just have young talented players, you still need a handful of older good / great one's to lead and show on-field how it's done. Contrast GWS surrounding their young draftees with more older players than GC as one of the reasons one played off in a GF (badly or otherwise) and one finished bottom yet again. Most know this, although not our list managers who want us to be GC lite once Boak, Hoff, R. Gray etc. all go within a couple of years of each other.
