According to their actions, the SAINTS were in the premiership window the last 2 years .....brought in Ryder, Hill, Crouch ect ....they thought their time was now
Saints stuck in no man's land.

Doubt any club wanted him.

No one wanted him last year.

Will be the best player in the SANFL next year.....but won't win the Magarey.

If he wasn't humbled last year then he should be this year.

Really hope he gets his head around the fact that he is an SANFL player in 2023 and approaches it with a positive attitude.

Doubt they would do it but wouldn't mind them naming him SANFL captain. We really need him buying in, being part of the good culture the young guys have going and not bringing a shit attitude.

Hawks have hardly improved their draft hand & have better outs than ins.

Meanwhile Cats improve their draft hand & also have been ins than outs.
Cats will rebuild their list while reigning premiers and be the big contenders for the 2023 flag its unbelievable tbh.

The 2 most dominant teams of the past decade had amongst the best of the trade period.

AFL "equalisation" at it's finest...

Crouch will be fighting for his lucrative AFL career .....he'll train harder than ever b4

Forgot about that...
Exactly what the AFL wanted you to do.

Notice how everything’s gone quiet? The media was relentless over a pissant botched camp, but when some darlings of the AFL are alleged to have pulled off some truly horrific shit, the draft week circus takes precedent. Things had quietened down on that front even before the distraction of draft week.

It’s why they announced it before the grand final. General public would think the AFL would be spewing a story like that broke in grand final week.

However there was always going to be a huge uproar when it broke - regardless of timing - so do it just before gf. Everyone gets caught up in that - then the aftermath and then trade week. Now there’s nothing to see here and want hear much I expect until they almost have it resolved

That’s interesting, some teams like Freo, Melbourne and Bulldogs had good one but important outs too.

Geelong and Richmond got stronger with no outs.

Some clubs did **** all.

Freo better 1st 22, but lost depth.

Dees look worse balance wise, unless the Gawn/Grundy combo become better forwards.

Bulldogs strengthen key positions, but weakened midfield, but probably better balanced.

Best 2 teams of the last decade get much stronger thanks to expansion teams.

In terms of next year I think Esava is a massive miss for Port. Amon and JHF cancel each other out for next year IMO. Rioli is an upgrade on Gray this year.

They are still too small down back to beat the Cats or Richmond

Not that I think Ratagolea is great but could have been a great play for them.

If you get bored and want a chuckled have a read of the first few pages on the Port board of the Esava thread - and then the last few
