Here's a good bit from the story:

Ed and his family grew up as avid Dockers supporters, with memberships and seats at Optus Stadium. Now the family are paid up Collingwood members.
Who knew we could love a former Hawthorn player so quickly. 🥰. Seem like a ripping, well grounded family

Getting very quietly confident about Reef in the forward line. The Sean Rusling type who's so fast, tall and going to get better...

Ed’s father Ben played 98 games for the Hawks , 2 short of picking him up under the F/S selection , missed it by that much , they would be spewing. On the odd , I should say very odd occasion, the footy gods look our way , just to tease us then hopefully Ed pleases us. This boy has got it all. Think Bont. Cripps , Fyffe , with more pace than all of them.

I know I’m opening myself up stupidly for disappointment here but I think Jordy’s going to set the comp alight this year. He seems switched on a determined to prove everyone wrong. God I hope so. 🙏
I'm with you PN. He seems focused on being his best, which, we've seen intermittently, is brilliant.
His 2022 finals series was excellent.
Bring that every week & he could end the season as a Norm Smith Medallist.

When the Hawks traded up in a pick swap with the Swans for pick 18 I was certain the move up the order was to pick Allan.
I was pleasantly stunned the Hawks chose Weddle (will be a player) & passed on Allan allowing us to select him with the very next pick
I feel we will look back on Allan's selection as an absolute bargain.

Murphy was almost impossible to beat one-on-one for a good while there last season, once he had found full fitness and confidence. I certainly ly don't see him as easy prey for anyone eyeing his spot at the moment.

Well, can you play him as well as Howe, Moore, and Frampton?

Who doesn’t play?

The hawks gave up a hell of a lot for Weddle in that trade up.

I think we drafted a good kid in Ed Allan. He's replaced Henry and the difference in attitude is evident. If his family have become members having only a few months ago been cheering on Freo in a final, it shows they're very supportive. The only reason Allan was a slider was because he was injured for part of the year. Macrae, Draper, Allan are all forming part of a core that act like the professionals they are rather than kids on a youth underage team. Nick Daicos is in his own category because he's Nick.

I don't want a team of robots, I want a team of players who know how to have fun without inflicting pain on others, themselves or damaging the image and reputation of the club.

That’s right, you need a balance of players…he’s not a rebounder and thank **** he isn’t…the rest are. He locks down, reads the flight really well. I think he’s a lock for round 1.

Not convinced about Macrae, he’s one of the unfittest on the list.
