I’m on board with the thinking of 76woodenspooners re how Wade will approach it. Push him to his absolute limit because if it’s going to go you need to know and you’d rather it at training than on match day. No idea if he ticks the top end speed box in time (it took Oliver 6 weeks so the last bit can be the toughest hurdle), but one things for sure there’s a big difference in the faith held in the fitness team between Buckley and McRae…

I assume they compare gps readings across the year to know just how close to maximum speed Adams has run at training this week.

If he gets through full training on Thursday perhaps we test his repeat sprint efforts again on the Friday morning and then see how he recovers.

We make the final decision come Saturday morning?

We need to be supremely confident he can get through a full game if required.

If he manages to get through Wade’s searching fitness test on Thursday then I’d be playing him. He’s an absolute competitive beast much loved by his teammates who was very good in our last GF against the Eagles. Remember, you can always nominate a mid as a sub as a bit of insurance in case he pings a hammy during the game.

This time last week I was in the camp of no chance no matter what. Wade gives me an air of confidence but I’m still not sure if we can risk someone with his history. And no matter what anyone tells me his body last year is the reason we’re not playing for our second flag in a row right now, get ptsd thinking about it again.

The inclusion of him against Brisbane would be massive though, winning the ball at the source is gonna be huge especially considering Danniher’s ability to seemingly play like Tony Lockett every time he plays us

I love Tay, but it's a GF and taking in a recently injured player is not something we should even contemplate. We've seen a few knocked up blokes run out of legs over the last couple of weeks. Pick a bloke who is 110% like Johnny Noble or Frampton.
Who knocked them up? I thought it was just Crispy expecting.

Wade is on record (in one of the YouTube clips) of saying he prefers to break injured players before they step onto the field.
Would prefer they “break down at training rather than 5 mins into the game”.

For this reason, I’m comfortable that if we pick Tay, he’s good to go and it won’t be a problem GameDay.
Wade's taking a baseball bat to training on Thursday. I'm more concerned about the concussion protocol than his hammy.

Any update? The Sun click bait headline had him lasting 30 mins, but it’s behind the paywall.
According to the article, he was first out, did some light work then came off after 30 minutes but no sign of a limp or distress. Someone was quoted as saying he was only ever going to do a light session today then heavy in the next one.

The strain was graded so minor it wasnt even graded as one on the scale so we should allow professionals to adjudicate his availablity
There’s no set recipe for hamstring outs and timeframes
