Is that an injury free list as of round 1?
I think it's close. No LTIs but a few who will have only just come back to full training. Still SO much better than we've had in recent memory.
Guys, please stop!
There's still 5 weeks until the season starts, three of which will involve games against opposition.
No jinxing.

Whiley, Whiley, Whiley...

Beast, expecting heaps this year...

His training is above most...

He gets the nod for round 1...!

will he be a tagger this year?

and what are your thoughts on Jed Lamb...?

Whiley really has to make it this year, glad to see what sort of condition he is in and that he has been training well, he's given himself every chance. Just a matter of impressing in the practice matches and pushing hard for round one.

I think guys like Whiley, Graham, Kerridge and Wright will be competing very hard for spots. They are good honest inside midfield types. You'd expect Murphy, Gibbs, Cripps and Curnow to me our main core players in there. Hopefully Boekhurst, Cuningham and possibly Byrne and Simpson can push hard with good form. I think Kerridge is a sure thing. I really hope there is strong competition for midfield spots, this is where we need to be at to be a decent side. strong competition within the club will be a good sign we're going places.

Off-topic and I'll surely get smashed for this one, but does anyone think that Angwins style of interviewing has changed with Murphy as opposed to her interviews with Cripps and Weitering?

Don't go all 'she has a job to do stuff' but just to the question.........for the fun of it?

I assume she has to be more engaging with the new fellas as they aren't used to being in front of the camera, whereas Murph is seasoned and easier to have a conversation with.

Was it a 'training' interview?

If not, yes you are right - off topic.

Yep, and no blue jacket either, though think it was also the close ups angle had changed as well that dulled down the technique.

Think the interviews have been a good addition in a pleasant manner but she must get over starting the question, mini ramble and ending up back re-quoting the question again.

Large Tummy Indicator?

Is that the PC term for the Fat Club?

Yes I think it has however it was a case of interviewing youngsters (trying to make them feel comfortable) in comparison to a senior player.

I thought her interview with Murph was great. She asked good questions and was very professional.

I didn't "like" how often she used "like" interviewing Cripps and Weitering

I don't know. The news around Whiley has been very positive but maybe the next few weeks will show us as to who from the fringes, jumps out.

Cripps could certainly do with another big body around him.

Would like to see Whiley make it as he's just the type we need, but I just can't see it happening.

Whiley never seems to have time, space, or any composure, and the end result is the 'deer in the headlights' effect we saw a bit of last year. He's basically the anti-Pendlebury - when he has the ball, it seems like the whole world speeds up around him.

Whiley would be an awesome run with player if curnow transitions to full midfielder.
Although we may prefer white as the big bodied run with player.
Either way i don't want us taking multiple taggers into a game.

Probably just getting more comfortable in the role and then the style follows.

Gerard Whately used to come across like the work experience kid meeting his heroes when he first started but now he's considered one of the few serious commentator/journos.

At this rate Angwin will be the Laurie Oakes of footy in a couple of years.

Not completely. Have a look at Neil Craig 0:55 into that very interview at tell me what you see. Obviously the coaching staff are living by the same standards they've set for the players regarding certain matters. I dips me lid.

Re Angwin: Meh, just a professional who does her job in courteous, friendly and non-confrontational manner irrespective of whom she interviews. Anything else is simply over-pyschoanalization brought about by a couple of peoples' harmless bawdy posts. Nothing to see here.
