What difference does it make if people leave after the game has been postponed?

I thought he’d never play against Liverpool in the PL?

Maybe he can put a “Neymar ****s his sister” type clause in his contract where Suarez doesnt play against Liverpool.

Increases the chance of further postponements? Thought that'd be reasonably obvious. You're reducing your total pool of players without replacing them.

I suppose how big does your squad need to be? Arsenal probably have a back up for each position once AFCON is done. Would that be considered adequate?

Big enough to not need games postponed after a player gets a red card, I'd say?

If a player, current club and new club have all agreed for him to move on it really isn't fair to stop them from leaving on the basis they are needed to reduce the chances of a postponement for their current club.

Didn't say that? Just that it then looks bad when Arsenal request a postponement following more player departures.

Just underlines why the rules need to be scrapped and games played no matter what with U23 players where needed.

Rule was brought in when clubs had huge COVID outbreaks causing the training ground to be closed etc. not for 1-2 cases.

Yep its a shit rule. No club should ever be involved in the postponement decision process. It should all be based on health authority information only. They know who is positive. Who has to isolarte and whether an outbreak is likely.

I bet there will be massive relegation battle games where this will come to a head later in the season. Team a has a few cases plus injuries. Demands postponement because of precedent set earlier in the season. Team B demands game be played because its the best chance for them to get 3 points. Shitfight follows. You heard it here first.
