The scene with the preacher(?) inside the factory where it very slowly keeps panning out as he talks about religion gave me disco Elysium vibes. Very cool shot for a fillum shot for 800k

It's been 15 years since I've seen it but I always thought the mum and the gas mask and the glad wrapped cat was what everyone knows the movie for and then it trails off into a drawn out and not-so-interesting journey. Perhaps I need to revisit because I don't remember that scene you're describing.
