I tried getting through Megadeth's new album.. nope lol forced songwriting, no hooks, compressed to hell.

Hang it up Dave.

Reckon great bands with an excellent catalogue should give it away by their 49s, Do their superannuation tours in their 50s whilst they still look like humans and then **** off forever.

Yea tend to agree it's not like Dave or James for instance couldn't find other musical outlets to fill the void.

Songwriting seems to fall away for rock/metal folk when most hit their 30's really or it just becomes repetitive, not even a criticism just that initial burst of songs & ideas when people are young is a hard to replicate thing.

Lets be real modern releases from old bands not comparing to old releases, is like, for me, at least 60% due to the ****ing compression/production. It's awful to the ears and the brain, no matter how good the songs may actually be. I'd prefer St Anger with its 44 gallon drums and nu-metal guitars to that.

Like I'm definitely going to give Megadeth's new one a go, but I can already hear it in my head, I already know what it sounds like.

I'd rather they revert to the soft metal pop rock, at least it sounded more original.

Harry Landis - aka Mr Morris in Friday Night Dinner - has passed away. Possibly the best cameo character in any series ever.

Was he the nazi their grandma brought to dinner?

After Indy 4 I'd be forgiven for never being interested again.

Indy 4 wasn't even that bad

Don't ask me to back that up or elaborate
Lol.
Indiana is the name we went with for our newborn girl.

Use to be the first album was raw but new, clearly defined in style, then following albums are overproduced, more homogeneous

Now with kids growing up with producing stuff on their laptops everything is overproduced from the start, even the stuff that’s trying to capture that faux rawness.

Imo.
