Gary Ridgway and Denis Rader are two of the most fascinating from that perspective. Their day to day existence, in comparison to what they did as murderers, was so far apart.
It's just difficult to wrap my head around that a guy with such a full life, still found time to rape and murder and hide all these people and their bodies, in between being a community activist and meeting the first lady.

I'll look up those names.

Gary Ridgway aka The Green River Killer is somewhat the benchmark of serial killers.

What about that Shipman guy the doctor. Why the heck was he doing it

Yea I think when you excessively belt to that extreme it's eventually all you can do, Jimmy could sing very high without the screech on the early Chisel albums.
To me it's also all that that's what the masses take from your performance, so it's all you start to do. Gotta scream me lungs out to keep the fans happy, rather than use it as part of variety of techniques. Then you just fall out of practise or something. Stop singing normally.

When we lived in London my partner worked for NCAS (the medical professionals regulator of the NHS) which had been established due directly to Harold Shipman.

So the Dahmer thing got me looking up the most notorious serial killers and there was one from Colombia that I had never heard of, Luis Garavito. And he might be up for release soon due to the maximum prison term only being 40 years.

Absolutely sickening. What the absolute ****.

Speaking of murder someone should do a job on whoever wrote Devil Wears Prada.

Fancy writing up that monologue about cerulean blue, and NOT mentioning that it was invented by Peter Brock?

Dahmer didn't really have a facade, did he? I always found Gacy the most interesting as he had a genuine other side/alter ego, married with kids, business owner, social club figure, hosted BBQs, entertained kids, etc. Dahmer and others were just loners scraping by so they could murder people.

Dahmer happened upon an MO that didn’t really need a facade. His victims were primarily dirt poor gay outcasts that already lived high risk lifestyles, so their disappearances were never taken too seriously, even when they were noticed.

Yeah just when you get to the end of the U.S serial killer rabbit hole, worldwide is just a whole different lot of shit.

Yeah that seems worse somehow. At least when they're a loner weirdo you know they're a loner weirdo
Yeah, someone like Gacy seems like he could be anyone. With others, there's probably an element of, well, I've don't know exactly what a serial killer is like, but it's not completely shocking that those people have literal skeletons in the closet.

Although even Gacy lost his shit in the end, leading to his arrest.

Yup, he hid behind racism and homophobia.

looks like Bussi has myxi, but he could teach Thunda Power a few moves!
Neither comes close to my favourite mascot of all time, Brazil's anti-testicular cancer champion, Senhor Testiculo:

A favourite with all the ladies and kiddies in down town Rio.

Joseph D'Angelo too to a lesser extent, although he was a bit of a knob (so was Raider in his role as a safety inspector) despite being a cop.

But he supposedly reigned himself in a bit for a decade or 2 before his arrest, whilst doing the grandfather-thing.
