ROBBED!!!

The tackle on shaw in the last not being paid holding the ball, the quick whistle holding the ball to Davis when the Melbourne player handballed it as he was tackled.

The Deas were absolutly robbed, so many crucial decisions going wrong and against them. Who ever umpired that match should be sacked that is a disgrace.

I am really not looking forward to playing collingwood with that umpiring bullshit.

Fair bit of shafting going on in that last quarter, but take that grab in the square in the last second and you win the game. Still, does anyone really expect anything different from the umpires. Same shit, different year as they say.

Has to be an investigation into that and those umpires should NEVER be allowed to umpire again.

I have never seen such blatant cheating from an umpire in my entire life and I support a team that lost 35 out of 39 Free kick counts at on point a year ago.

F***ing dogs

Woeful at best, good last week but today just too many clear cut frees to Melbourne not given.

Side note: How bad did Jamar make Jolly and Fraser look:eek:

Re: Collingwood blocking the man on the mark

You can stand BEHIND the marker. Rules are rules. Learn them.

The umps are right in this case.

page 61
Rule 16.1.2 Look at the diagram

Yes... I was about to trump you but the rule does not say 5m radius behind the man on the mark... only the player with the ball.

16.1.2 Protected Area
The Protected Area is a corridor which extends from 5 metres either
side of the mark to 5 metres either side of, and a 5-metre radius
behind, the Player with the football, as illustrated in diagram 2
appearing on page 61. No Player shall enter and remain in the
Protected Area unless the field Umpire calls “Play On” or the Player is
accompanying or following within 5 metres of his or her opponent.

i'm absolutely gutted for melbourne.
my heart was pounding so hard in those last few seconds but seriously that umpiring was a ****ing disgrace.

as a team i don't actually care about melbourne but right now i feel their and the supporters pain.

bullshit umps ruined the true outcome of this match.

it was all melbourne first half...... all collingwood second half...... Disgusting effort both ways to be honest and I usually stick up for the umpires but these three should all be sent to the VFL after today's performance. Bouncing was ordinary, decision making in marking contests was ordinary, general play contests in the second half was particularly bad. Many high tackles missed too.

Honestly, i thought the umpiring was fairly even but there were a couple of shockers that cost Melbourne the game.
Anyway, that was the most heartbreaking neutral loss i have ever watched, bad luck Melbourne. But definitely some promising signs for the dees.

i feel so gutted for melbourne and their supporters. disgracefull effort by the nerds in yellow

:thumbsu: Exactly - the better team lost because of a team of people who were not wearing Collingwood or Melbourne guenseys today.

Even many Collingwood supporters will realise how lucky they were.

If Shaw had been wearing just about any other jumper than the filth's he would have been pinged for holding the ball in the last few minutes. He picked up the ball, ran a few steps trying to take the player on got tackled and it fell out of his hands. That is holding the ball in any other situation.
