I expected the response to negativity last week and it never came, but having someone like Rankine back could be an added spark that gets them close.

We'll know from the 1st bounce because Sydney could absolutely torch us if the midfield isn't switched on.

There have been matches this season that I've honestly wanted the Crows to lose, or at least not cared if they won, but this isn't one of them. I'm not expecting a win but I would be happy to see it.

Losing to the top side won't do anything to convince the club to move on from our coaches/admin, even if it's a by a lot (unless it's an all-time belting, 20+ goals etc). We should lose to Sydney, and lose comfortably. It's only when we lose to bad sides that the heat gets turned on the club.

However, a win today or even a very competitive showing would help to solidify the slightly different direction we've gone in recently, with Smith, ROB and McHenry out, and the likes of Dowling into the starting side.
