The poached egg discussion was the discussion that needed to be had
its the best thing ever if you get it just right ,theres only seconds in achieving perfection

I like to get the edge of the yolk just firm and still keep the centre runny ....2 mm firm edge...it gives you flavour and goo
My wife wants heres with just the dead centre of the yolk being runny....1 cm firm edge

As I progressed from povo student first car
I went to auto then aiircon then power steering then cruise control, you dont know how you lived without any of it
I had a Mini that's throttle used to stick, that was kind of like cruise control.

Not sure if our car has that, though if we do accelerate to overtake, it does drop down back to set speed.
Our new one has it and you can set the distance to the car in front.

Its the best. With that an anti lane departure you can almost set it and have a nap on long drives.

Cruise control. Bloody great.

I jumped into a work ute and had to wind down the window. Fumbling for the button, which I couldn't find, I discovered it has a windie handle thingie. I almost had to read the car manual to remember how to use it.

Push button start, electric windows and keyless entry are under-rated.

the adaptive cruise is really good. best thing i found when updating my car earlier this year. that and auto windscreen wipers imo

Wonder if they've improved the rain sensing wipers yet. Around 5 years ago or so many cars with them (various makes and models, same suppliers I guess) they'd be good for 8 months to a year or so and then become pretty useless at detecting rain

ah dont tell me that. i'm 9 months in and they still work great

They might be better now - but I found I had to push the sensor toward the windscreen hard to get it to work properly. In the end I've heard (but haven't tried) if you disconnect the sensor it reverts to a normal intermittent wiper, I'm at the point of trying that now - but the car is about 6 years old.
