None of those occasions that the polls were right that you speak of lived in a time like now where we have a plethora of access to information and media.

I’m only going off recent times because that’s far more relevant than any of the times you speak of.

Agree, election opinion polls are increasingly becoming heavily influenced by MSM and their agendas so they are no longer the reliable guide to an outcome they once were.
Accordingly I'd be surprised if Trump is not reelected and while I'm no fan, sadly Biden doesn't inspire any confidence as a better alternative....

To be blunt the US is currently a basket case and according to a mate (a long term expat living in Florida), strap yourself in on Wednesday night as a lot of US cities are already boarding up shop fronts expecting widespread protests/riots irrespective of who wins.

Of course the MSM are happy to irresponsibly promote such fears with recent headlines such as; 'Is America on the brink of a second Civil War?'...

Could Trump flip California?

California isn’t voting Republican, but this proudly liberal state is looking likely on voting for a horrendously regressive ballot initiative. Proposition 22 has had $180 million spent on it (a record) from the large gig economy companies to allow them exemption from a range of labour laws. Polls indicate its passing.

Hahaha Quora.

A caravan of Trumpies harassing and intimidating a bus on a public road and they’re the victims.
As one formerly inflicted with conservatism (thanks private school upbringing :/ ) I can tell you from a first hand experience that the victim mindset is first and foremost there at its core. You don't realise it at the time because you're a teenager, but looking back you remember how backyard bbq's consisted of blaming everyone else for societies ill's.

I don’t think the media spreading the fear is the issue, anyone who can add 2 and 2 together can see there could be chaos.

Yep, I used to be more centre right and over time have gone more centre left. Isn’t it supposed to be the other way around?

Seems the more I’ve learnt about the world the more I feel I’ll be ok regardless and it’s about making things better for the whole as with that, we all win.

Not sure msm are alone in this, all the alt-right sites are promoting fear and Trump has asked the Poor Boys to stand by

Whereas leftism is all about encouraging people to take responsibility for themselves and not blame others for one's problems?

Is that what you are suggesting?

I once had the misfortune to be at a party where a private school educated, career public servant on a very nice salary complained that HE wouldn’t mind a handout like those single mums get.

Nowadays I’d call him out - and the people nodding along - but this was about 15 years ago and I didn’t want the argument in front of that group of people.

57,000. People who are enthusiastic enough to attend a rally are certain to vote. People who've answered a poll .... not so much.

Expecting long lines of mainly Republicans on Election Day.

You’re hanging on to hopes and dreams.

That’s ok. You’re human after all.

But by the end of the week you’ll scratching your head wondering what went wrong..and Bunker Boy will be irrelevant.

Prepare yourself mentally for the high possibility of it all. For the sake of your mental health at least.
