The way Trump's diehards are, he could pick a gay guy as VP, and they'd go along with it.

Have made a list of Trump’s promises:

  • no more income taxes for anyone
  • permanent peace in the Middle East
  • $1 gasoline that in no way will affect energy industry workers or anyone’s retirement accounts
  • crime ends Jan 21
  • no more doctors and medicines making us sick
  • national debt paid off
  • full self driving
  • never another Laken Riley event
  • no more shoplifting
  • mass deportations will carefully and respectfully locate only serial killers
You’ll hold him to this, right Trump supporters?
I'd take any progress towards any of these issues, rather than the Democrat alternative of actively encouraging these issues.

Ironically the 3 best candidates they have in Michelle Obama. AOC and Nancy Pelosi have no intention of becoming President. They take all the media sound bites but can’t do anything with them

All 3 need the boot if Dems want to grow and move on. Too much time is spent on those who won’t put their hand up
lulwut

So if the national debt balloons and gas prices go higher, you’ll chastise Trump right?
It depends on what the national debt baloons for - if its pumping money into foreign wars or student loan forgiveness, I think that would be against his policies. If he puts money into growing the US economy, healthcare and border protection all for it.

Gas prices will come down and I'd happily chastise him if he failed to achieve that.

The military industrial complex needs foreign wars, the cornerstone of the US economy.

And lets be real their healthcare is bloated because of their system.

He never said any of that. What he has said is far more nuanced and why events like today come as such a surprise to people like you.

You forgot the most important one.
End wokism. That alone drove up his vote. There is a sick obsession with anything deemed woke like apparently it's such a bad thing to hold people accountable for actions and comments. We want to breed more and more bullies according to the anti woke. Say and do what you like it's freedom of expression and speech they say. If you can't handle it that's your problem. Basically they want to go back 30 years where all this was acceptable. It's pathetic IMO and should never be an election issue. Says more about the person complaining about it.

Ending wokeism is a tall order.

I guess if he fails to do so that’s probably a black mark on his presidency for his voters.

So why do harris lose to the worlds most dangerous moron?

I cant find good answers but heres a go:

She couldnt explain inflation: never attempted to explain why her term wouldnt have the repeat of the inflation boom of biden. She needed to explain that this was supply side driven due to covid and wouldnt happen again without a new covid. Not an easy sell although trump made it easier with his inflationary tariff and deportation policies but she never really made a good argument of it or much of an attempt at all.

Charisma: she didnt have much. This is why open primaries are important.

Wokism. Men have definately turned against democrats. Mostly white men but latino and black men as well. Calling male behaviour toxic, telling low income men they are privledged, pushing affirmative action policy again male employment and telling all men they are responsible for sexual assaults is not a good campaign strategy. Progressives preached inclusiveness while making men feel excluded.

Immigration: shouldnt of unwound all of trumps border policies and should of reacted to the problem of illegal immigration more quickly. They should of expanded legal migration significantly but been absolutely tough on illegal immigration.

Education: americans clearly arent educated enough to understand the importance of democracy, supporting global allies nor how the economy works. Cant be fixed in the short run.

Gaza: not sure they could of done anything differently here. But it lost them the irrational part of the base who didnt know or care that trump was forcing democrats into their position with a looming election and will be way worse for Gaza.

I think many of these problems are also problems in australia. Albanese is in deep trouble.

No chance no matter how impressive she is ( and she is). There not ready for a female President. If Hilary Clinton couldn't beat Trump and MAGA AOC won't beat somebody like Vance either. Newsom is their best bet because he runs California and has a presence about him already and is more left wing than either Harris and Biden are. There needs to be a complete opposite vs complete opposite agenda. Sitting in the middle doesn't cut through.

I agree with you somewhat on the female part, however I think the problem is more that if they want to go with a woman, they then need to actually have charisma. The women they have tried have just been poor candidates. I lived in Texas for 7 years, which included the Hilary v Trump campaign. Clinton was just so robotic, boring, bland. Harris is similar, but she is a much worse speaker and rambles. There's nothing there to energise or inspire voters from either of them.

Michelle Obama has charisma in spades and may have been (or will be in the future) the best chance for a female president. But does she want the job? I don't think so. Oprah considered running as an independent in 2020 but pulled out. If they parachuted her into the Democrat party as Trump's foe, it would have made for a great showdown. America would have loved it, mega celebrity face off. It's not enough having them endorse someone. One of them needed to be the actual candidate.

I don't know enough about AOC to comment on her suitability.
