'Americans are so stupid to vote for Trump'

Says people who voted for Dan Andrews.
Equating the 2 is a special kind of stupid. After lockdowns, which people thought were some conspiracy to keep us locked up forever, what has changed from before to after covid?

Elections aren't compromised here either, also he stepped down, big bad Dan hasn't been able to hurt you for a while now. You are still fighting the last war.

Flat, absolutely flat. Even moreso probably have warranted fear what's coming ahead IF we are to take trump at his words / allusion.

So what happens now?...................

- Ukraine? It's been reported that trump will attempt to broker a deal between russia and Ukraine, that being 'Ok kids let's go home, vlad keep what you've taken but be a good boy and leave it there'. Yay! war is over but phuq you Ukraine, you lost.

Sends a message to vlad that he can, if he wishes continue annexation in neighboring territories 'do what you want'. That doesn't necessarily mean that vlad can just walk into neighboring states and take over, the point is that the message is a green light.

- ME, If I read his allusion correctly 'Hey bibi, I'll give you more support, just kill off hamas and hezbollah, oh heck just kill off the ideology' Yeah like that's gonna happen, it'll just fuel and escalate the war.

- *The liberal democratic alliance and NATO etc., if I read his allusion correctly 'Hey world, it's about us first, we don't wanna be part of globablization, unless it's on our terms'

^ This is my biggest fear, the weakening of the liberal democratic alliance, this directly effects us.

Worse given we're the most so ready to obey both Chuck and Sam, wouldn't be surprised if trump would use us as a disposable attack dog (more so than now) like vlad does use his own military and citizens as a meat grind. Of course this is all speculative, none the less fairly warranted speculation.

* My wild desperate hope is trumps wish for isolation will galvanize the allies, even then without the current 'level of support' from the overwhelming super power, this sends a invitation to non democracies for their wishes like Xi. So my 'optimism' is moot anyway.

All of the above hasn't even tapped into the impact of the likely global trade wars with his tarrifs game, or even the impact domestically, or even the allusion of abandonment of the Paris agreement, basically a 'meh, climate change pfft'

Yeah I know I'm gonna cop criticism for hyperbole, regardless you can't just hand wave away trumps words.

Of course he can't just implement his wishes at a whim, the senate and the HOR have say and influence. Normally I'd 'meh', however there's concern that the repugs might also have the upper hand in the senate and HOR.

How moderate or radical are those repugs?

I think it's somewhere in between, and for me that's already, at the most optimistic, not at all good.

Anyway 'Armageddon outta here' < too soon?

And you wasted all that time on potatohead gender when you could have been fighting for democracy.

More clowns that don't understand marginal rates. Why is the starting point of this "analysis" always the top MTR? You only pay 45% on every dollar of taxable income over $190,000. Under that (the majority of workers) is lower rates.

The non income taxes you pay are based on your lifestyle choices. GST was introduced in 2000 and has essentially been incorporated into the cost of living since then. Without it, I expect MTRs would be higher.
Before gst many products had wholesale tax . So often goods had a hidden tax

Good to see ya mate!👍
I don’t always agree with you, but you are one of the most balanced posters on the SRP!🤌🏻

Poor frog. What did he do to deserve that?

You don't get it.

It's nothing to do with Trump or Andrews.

It's hypocrisy at its finest.
How? Why? For memory I think I voted for a social democrat here, and preferenced Labor ahead of LNP, cos LNP suck more.

Nothing to do with Trump or Andrews yet you directly compare the 2? You are comparing an elephant and a mouse.

Another clown who lacks comprehension skills. Once you factor in all the income taxes and then the taxes on the after- income-tax money, many people pay far more than 45% of their money to the government.

Are you a public servant and don't want people to know that?

I couldn't care less if you call it income tax, or consumption tax or a levy, its ALL tax.

Impeached as a political tool only and subsequently acquitted. Don't forget that.
Still he shouldnt have been allowed to run for president.

If Trump was an Australian politician he would have been marched out of Parliment and never to be allowed in politics again

They voted for a renowned child sniffing 2 brain anasrim dementia sufferer who tried to shake hands with a flag pole, never knew how to get off a stage or seemingly never knew where he was. There's even footage of the secret service chasing after him down the White house lawn because he couldn't follow the footpath Infront of him among many other cases where he confused his granddaughter with his late son Buea

And my personal favourite where he accidentally says we cannot get reelected we can only reelect Donald Trump and they fake fact checked it to make it seem like it didn't happen when it did (clear evidence in the link)

Trump clearly said ‘it’s ok if immigrants come illegally. Then repeated it. He’s either going senior or he’s just seeing how much he can get away with. Maybe it’s the same thing

Yeah, maybe he's going "senior"!

Any Australian who speaks positively about should be floated off to sea, never to return.

Trump was smart enough to distance himself from the title of "project 25" as the puddle deep left wing media propagandists coalesced against it as a rallying cry to demonise Trumps "extreme" agenda. However what Trump laid out (and most of America supported) IS agenda 25 and that is what America voted for. Common sense stuff too.
  • Secure the border, finish building the wall, and deport illegal aliens
  • De-weaponize the Federal Government by increasing accountability and oversight of the FBI and DOJ
  • Unleash American energy production to reduce energy prices
  • Cut the growth of government spending to reduce inflation
  • Make federal bureaucrats more accountable to the democratically elected President and Congress
  • Improve education by moving control and funding of education from DC bureaucrats directly to parents and state and local governments
  • Ban biological males from competing in women' s sports

They also don’t necessarily seem to understand that you only pay that top rate on the amount you earn over the threshold. Not a total.

Do people turn down a pay rise so they don’t go up a threshold?

Not only that but I would be suggesting that those individuals would have ability for fairly decent tax write offs which mean that the income tax rate becomes mute.
It's a bit like allowing multiple property owners the ability to use them as tax breaks.
