This is all about the economy and the fact that everyone has forgotten what Trump was like last time.
And this is what is scary - how could people forget or turn a blind eye to the incompetency and vulgarity he exudes? Let alone what mischief he's been caught with in the past four years. Just absurdity.

The least progressive western nation on the planet could bring themselves to vote in a coloured woman.

This result is not surprising.

It's an interesting contrast with the United Kingdom, where the Tories just elected a black woman born of an emigrant to the UK from Nigeria to lead them.

Georgia closing further, but only 7% left to count. Any ideas which votes they would be counting last?
It's all democratic-leaning counties to come in here. This is insane.

I went there over a decade ago and I was shocked at the homelessness in San Fran and LA even then.

Can only imagine how bad it is now.

Other places were good though.

Spent plenty of time in both.

LA, despite its spookyness can still be a heap of fun. Full of dreamers working part-time whilst they chase their acting/singing career.

SF is enjoyable if you're rich and/or working in tech - which a lot of residents are.

Homelessness is bad, but is mostly an issue caused by the bizarre state policies around it. Both are insanely expensive which the Government is also partly to blame.

Good thing about the US is that if you hate your state/city, you can leave - which plenty have done out of Cali in recent years.

7% Georgia to count approx 382,841 votes

Trumps lead is 118,489

so Harris needs to pull 30+% more votes in last 7% than Trump
Effectively 2/3 of remaining votes need to be Harris, should probably call it.

Trump presidency incoming. Lookout America.

Harris was an outstanding candidate. Bad luck - she's on the right side of history. America being America.
Pffffhfhahahaahahahhaahahhahahahahaha

She was a complete moron. Could barely answer a question. This is exactly what happens when you run a stupid person as a candidate.

Not reading through the whole thread but you'd think the economy would have been the winner for Trump. When people are struggling they are going to vote the party in power out regardless of the cause. The same will happen here in our election next year.

Yeah if the economy isn't going well people will usually vote for a change of party and it looks like that is what is happening here.
