If they don't have any kind of feeder program they will inevitably die. Its important and vafa should be pushing them to try and get one or something similar up, easier said then done i know but not many players are playing into their 30's anymore. Numbers can fall off very quickly.
The problem for the wicks is the area is majority private schools or kids who already play for Vamps/City. Hard to recruit the kids (25-30??) to start a 19s program when they could go to local prem clubs with established programs

We just endured the longest season of all time!
Should be cutting weeks out of the roster preseason is six weeks away!
We had a 11 team grade in 2022. Playing 20 rounds plus finals plus 2 bye weeks. It was a killer. We were lucky not to play finals that year. Really affect the following season for lots of clubs. Add to the fact that the previous season was the Covid year.

Coburg as a club is struggling on the field in the VFL. There is the potential they could join the VAFA full-time if things don't turn around. They do have strong financials off it though.

Sandringham don't exactly make a lot of money out of hosting VAFA finals every year.
a. Coburg would join the NFNL, not the VAFA.
b. Sandringham are funded partially by St Kilda and a well established function centre so don’t necessarily need the finals revenue
c. Coburg have to raise ~$1M per year on their own to reach the VFL minimum standards. The NFNL finals revenue would be a very attractive proposition for them, VAFA would not come close to comparable dollars.
