No. I don't even know what lunch you are talking about. I ate lunch though.
I'm just a lover of VAFA footy. Far removed from official gatherings or lunches.
Did you attend or were you Bedding down?

I think the luncheon he was referring to, Canada, was the Big V one where two legends were elevated into the Big V Champion status in the Big V Hall of Fame-Nick Bourke, and Russell Barnes.

Thanks Jase...now I get what the front of the Ammos Record was all about. Super stuff by all.

Is that the same Russell Barnes who coached Aquinas into G Grade?

Thinking back to Nick Bourke's time as coach of the Big V team, Bourke wasn't afraid to make the tough decisions, like the time back in 1999 prior to the State game between Victoria and SA at Elsternwick Park, Bourke dropped his premiership captain from Old Xavs, Michael Blood (who was State captain the year before) from the final team due to poor form at club level. Victoria won by 10 goals.

Any truth to the rumour Blood was livid they weren't playing the State Game at VISY Park and refused to play on the shiezen heap known as VAFA HQ.

Massive results yesterday;

Can OMs or Xavs make the four!?

Are Trinity safe?

What happened to SKOBS yesterday?

No.

Not yet, but they'll probably survive.

No need to win that one. Double chance sewn up.

Dead rubber chill out for SKOB. Nothing to see there.
Can't see OM or Xavs making it.
Xavs having that post premiership shocker. Seen it all before.
I hear that the Claret and Stout may be putting together a little sub commitee to ensure it doesn't happen again in 2019. Interesting.

OMs can. In fact if they win next week against DLS they are a massive show. However if DLS win it is curtains for both OMs and Xavs, no matter how results go in the last round. Bellers v OMs next week is huge.

De La missed a chance to stitch up 4th yesterday. Poor conversion ultimately cost them but credit to Collegians who kept coming and kicked the big goals when it mattered. They are fine team.

SKOBs just coming off the short run until September and they will find an extra gear when it counts.

the hedgies win was full of merit. indescribable was the word around hedgeville yesterday.

sadly canada’s boys are cooked, braised and stuffed. one of last years premiership co-coaches appeared as happy as larry kicking the footy with his little one at 1/2 time. having fun kicking the footy during breaks will do that for you.

‘what the’ is all that can be said about the towelling of st kev’s/afl2s by the scholarly blues. many questions remain unanswered. are the scholarly blues that good? could the unspeakable happen and the afl recruiting coup by st kevies all be in vain? in that case will the king boys be able organise a merch refund? has mapelbet any clue when it comes to setting odds? why has canada been suspended? just how long is a piece of string?

the weekend would have been made had the worker dees got the chocolates over the wesleyans. i have not lost hope of a worker dees flag. for the good of the game.

ni speaking and keeping it real.

What?.......a sub committee to re instate Pat Hawkins. Didnt that work out well (still may but very doubtful)..

What are the chances of the VAFA website crashing on the final day of the home and away season next week?
