now we are approaching the pointy end of the season with the fight for finals and, for others avoiding relegation, we are in for some exciting stuff.

would not be surprised if the sharks beat the best run club on their turf and grammar toss the purples.

safe are mentone over the scholarly blacks, the scholarly blues over the hedge burners, and st kevins/afl2s over an injury hit bellers.

let us talk footy.

You need to get your nicknames right. "Grammar" is down Corio way, "School" is the correct plummy name for MGS.

Xavs over Beauy
Colls over OMs to be close...
Blacks over Tigers
Blues over OTs. B grade resident in 18.
Skobs over De La. Comfortably

Like these tips. Other than Xavs winning. Excitement at both ends indeed. We are all in for a big few months. Not many dead rubber games.

Apart from putting up live scores on the VAFA website and app (if it's still updated), it would be nice if the VAFA do a live ladder as well, especially during Rounds 16-18, where every game won or lost could mean the difference between either making the finals or being relegated to Premier B for 2018.

Your taking the "piss" surely???

If you're referring to SKOB, I understand after seeking confirmation for 2017, having only been a co-coach in Premier B, Jon Edgar walked in the middle of 2016. He won a flag in the grade below, but was let go halfway through the season in the grade above.

At St Bedes Mentone, they replaced a Premier B runner up coach as they were going back up to Premier.

I think this is worse - he's taken them to the biggest dance in the VAFA two years in a row, but doesn't last the season despite them being neck deep in a relegation battle.

If there's another club I'm not aware of, then I'm obviously not as "up with current events" as you are.

FWIW does Xavs have the power to wipe peoples minds?

You add Tony Miller at De La, won the B Grade flag and unlike the team didn't get promoted to A.
