11am Friday at Goschs Paddock
Eww, you must feel dirty in that you got that information off the Essendon website.:p

But clearly they lead the league with their Bomber Tv, it seems much better then others at the moment.

Re: Saturday 17/3/12 vs Geelong @ Kardinia Park 11:15am

Well glad it's on, not surprised it's Friday overall, but does allow borderline, injured or otherwise underdone guys to have a final hit out with a weeks gap till the first game of the AFL season v Hawks.

Tarrant should play hopefully, maybe others ? BJ, Didak or Beams, not sure how far Wood is away.

Hopefully a few guys and girls can get there, give plenty of updates.

Re: Saturday 17/3/12 vs Geelong @ Kardinia Park 11:15am

No way johno will be playing... he'll be taking very lightly this year given his age and history of hammies. Hope the rest play

The fact that its organised for early Friday tends to suggest that the club intend to give at least a couple of the boys some game time and then give them the greatest possible window in which to recover before round one. It shall be interesting to see who lines up.

He's already had something like 5 weeks break from a minor hamstring injury, if he's fully fit there is no reason he wouldn't play.

It's going to be interesting to not only see who plays, but how they go and if any then line up round 1.

So the names we hope play are;

Tarrant
Johnson
Didak
Beams
Wellingham

Anyone else? Maybe a Ceglar or Keefe who may also be in contention for round one.

And then you would think there would be a 3 part series for them to go through to make it to round one;

1. Play on Friday
2. Pull up physically well over the next few days
3. Train fully with the group leading into the Hawks game

So really, we won't know until the final training session of next week if any of the above names are certain of playing against the Hawks I'd say.

Re: Sat 17/3 vs Geelong @ Kardinia Park and Fri 23/3 11 am vs Bendigo Bombers at Gosch's Paddock #76

I was told on the weekend that Johnno's injury isn't a hamstring, but an achillies. Hopefully the bloke who told me was misinformed but he's normally pretty spot on.

weather forecast is ordinary - 17, cold wind, showers.

bring it on..........i'll be at work lol.

I don't care about Showers and I went to the Frankston game which was pretty Terrible Weather Wise.

Anyone Else Going?

Sat 31/3 Geelong v Collingwood Simmonds Stadium 1:00 PM

I am heading down with Swooop and Swooop has said for anyone who wants a Lift to Contact Him.

Should be intresting to see how Plays in the VFL as the Side will be Weakned because of AFL Listed Injuries

Re: Sat 31 Mar Geelong v Collingwood Simonds Stadium 1:00 PM

By life do you mean lift TD? :p

Get on it guys. Kardinia Park is a great little trip, you get to see the up and comers, the Geelong crowd is usually pretty cruisy from my experience, and you have a lift all arranged with the die hards.

Yes I did mean Lift. Been down there 2 times this month with Swooop and both been Fantastic Trips.

Cats Crowd can be Quite Passionate as I also got into the Last Game and Got Looks and a Few Words Back

They're parochial no doubt. But they're well behaved down there. I can see you putting a few offside TD but thats cool, never change mate! It's actually a great experience going down there. It has that old suburban feel to it which you just can't experience unless you attend the VFL. And courtesy of the crowds these two teams pull you wont otherwise get the chance to make the trip.

Well the Suburban Ground feel is also at Vic Park though it's way more Family Friendly.

I won't change and I dare say I be vocal again on Saturday:D

Re: Sat 31 Mar Geelong v Collingwood Simonds Stadium 1:00 PM

Should be a lot better game this time, with way more players of note playing.

Anyone want to have a crack at naming a team? Would be a hard job not knowing exactly who's available, but it's good in one way that the game is after the AFL rather than before it, so emergencies etc for seniors don't need to be kept on ice.

Yeah but geared towards Pies fans hey TD? It being Vic Park and all. Same deal for Kardinia Park methinks.

Good to know you won't lose your passion mate. Believe me I would love to be there looking at the handbag faithful when you let rip. I was brought up amongst that rabble and would find it absolutely hilarious looking at their shocked faces. Go nuts dude!
