Despite his spectacularly bad start, turned out to be a decent coach, with things heading in the right direction. Wouldn't want him as senior coach, but as an assistant or midfield coach, could be invaluable. Then, after serving that apprenticeship (which he should have done initially, he would be ready to give it another go.
