Geez..if you think the cats deserve any votes, who to..

Im not the biggest Geelong fan.I started going for them when I was young, they lost a lot, so I was over footy....they get good again, which is fantastic. This game reminds me of why I wasn't into Geelong as much as a support should! :)

That's alright cats..you just underestimated the hawks and weren't at your best.

Seriously.. is this the same side that smashed Brisbane and the Roos?

The Hawks made us look ordinary today, and we did a pretty good job of looking ordinary ourselves, where was the flair this week? Agreed, Rooke played a blinder, especially after going down early, but the other blokes just didn't look anything like the side that's fronted up the last two weeks!

I just hope we come back and have a decent game against the Doggies next week, I was worried about that game before but it's an even more daunting task for us now..

btw.. votes, i agree, rookie is the only bloke who stood up for us this week, raffle the rest

ok, and maybe dasher, but he always stands up for us, even when we're down (anyone remember round 22, 2001?)

I'm so disapointed and the geelong players better be feeling disapointed too!!!!!!!!!! They played so crap. I don't really think many if any deserve votes!

1/2 - Bartel (only for his efforts in the first half... the rest was ordinary)
1/4 - Egan (he was ok today, deserves 1 quarter of a vote I supose)

Sorry... I can't think of any Cats players who really deserve a vote. :(

Rooke and Bartel were the only ones who actually did something.
Enright was alright, and Dasher.
But alot of them let us down... and I mean alot.
Ohh and is Egan ok?
I heard he hurt his shoulder, I hope he is going to be ok.

Don't know about giving votes for best players, was easy to pick out our worst players.
Triple m gave Kingsley the worst player of the game award, well deserved too.
That had to be one of the poorest games i'd seen for some time. Only get to go to about 5 or 6 games a year and unfortunately that was one of them.
When are we going to stop dropping games against teams with a fifth of the talent that we have?

It's way too harsh on the boys to say none deserve votes...yes, they did get thrashed, but thats when they need our support the most! (Especially seeings we're up against the doggies next week without scarlett, king, egan and maybe johnson).

Votes should've gone to:
:D Hunt
:) Bartel
 Mooney
;) S. Johnson
:p Rooke
From where I was sitting (in the fab general admission area!!! ha ha), Hunt remained focused, and never gave up. And Mooney is so encouraging all the time to his teammates. :thumbsu: ALL THE VOTES WILL BE GOING TO THE CATS THIS WEEK AGAINST THE DOGS!!!

Not sure if my opinion counts, but Mooney ran his guts out in the last quarter despite the futility of it... that gets points in my book, even if it doesn't win matches.

Good on him.

I agree with you on Hunt, Mooney, and Rooke but not with Steve Johnson. He's not match fit yet and his effort chasing that Hawthorn player who kicked that goal in close was pathetic.

Sj played an absolute shocker ont he weekend. His chip/shot from 20m out up near the general admin end summed up his day. He was 20m out, had a player running at thim with ottens sitting int he sqare all alone. He had 5-6 secnds to sum up what to do, kick it, or pass it. He chose neither, and screwed it u so it was a 'pass' that went over ottens' head for a point to the far side.

He probably tried being a bit too cute throughout the game, where the conditions didn't suit that style.

Okay, perhaps Johnson wouldn't have been my third choice, but I just thought he did try and get in there as much as he could...it was pretty funny when Steve pulled down one of the Hawks player's shorts as he kicked a goal...was it Hodge he did that too???

Those 5 were our best. Don't think anyone else should be in our best apart from them.
Mine is:
5. Hunt
4. Milburn
3. Bartel
2. Rooke
1. Mooney.
