Surely they’ve taken notice now. 11 goals in the past month. Even The Mongrel Punt has been advocating for it this week!

Bloody massive win from the boys. Season is well and truly alive. We are pretty spoilt having Jackson available to fill Darcy’s absence.

Hopefully three at the G, against a top 4 side will get him the nod.

Jacksons interview was great ! So glad we have that guy. Torn on Fyfe, he didnt really have an impact today (accept that his presence does alter things on ground) ... maybe he is better as a sub?
At half time Fyfe had 14 possessions 10 contested. He was obviously gassed after have time.
But he makes those around him look better
We don’t have the player who can play his role.

Forgot to mention in my earlier post we were utterly reamed by the umps. Seemed like every time we got a run on they’d find a way to turn it back with frees in front on goal for Melbourne.
Even in the last that absurd 50 to get them going forward again.

Also what the heck do we do to keep Johnson in when everyone is available? He’s best 22 already. He was better than Fyfe today. O’Meara has been good too.

As for Erasmus & Worner they’re not getting near it without injuries.

Shame Sturt couldn’t make it count today. He’s not going to get much of a look either.
Banfield is legitimately best 22 now. As is Treacy who still doesn’t get much of it but makes it count, does so much work off the ball & looks at times like he could be anything.

Amiss is Godlike.
I don't like ump whinging too much but it was like there was 2 different sets of rules out there for a lot of the game.

Strap in 'mate' :D

There's something so chef's kiss about this

And Gerard you can piss off on Banfield’s throw…he hit the ball you arse
That and the zero mention of Hughes being held off the ball when Fristch got that one in the fourth can both suck my balls.

The Hughes wing experiment being over is the best thing to happen for both our team and for Hughes himself. Backline has felt way more cohesive and consistent since he went back
It’s changed everything
Probably the best thing that came from that experiment was it forced him to look and run forward more which has improved his defensive game

If there was a coaches award running for most improved this year I would give it to Ethan Hughes

I was a big knocker of him the last few seasons but he can seriously hold his head high this year

Had to coincide with Driz getting some match fitness. Before he was ready we had no other viable options for the wing. Even if he's not racking up the stats him being there makes a huge difference.
