It was a mistake from Warren to say "good call". Exactly what he meant doesn't matter. Those words are only going to be taken one way in light of his previous comments.

It just goes to show how careful he's had to be all year. People have criticised him for going soft on Hinkley but he just can't say anything anymore. This is literally the whole concept of 'having the full support of the board'. You publicly have everyone's support until the moment they sack you.

Just because you appreciate someone speaking their mind by saying 'good call' doesnt mean you agree with every point being made and anyone who thinks thats the case is stupid, like Robbo, Caro and Kane.
If Tredders has shown us anything its that he WONT engage in a public tit for tat with the club and instead has remained silent when people have sought to draw a response in that forum.
He simply acknowledged the callers passion.

Im sick of those media sycophants trying to put us and our elected voice down.

I tend to think Warren is intelligent enough to know how to dog whistle to us, and that's what he's done here.

Lighting a fire under the club helps us at the moment. We need a media frenzy and he poured fuel on it while also maintaining professionalism.

The absolute grubs like Kornes and Caro love generating clicks by making controversial statements. Tredders has hooked them with their own bait and they've given us the exact media storm we're looking for.

9 in Melbourne is a "boys" club, non gender specific. And as a non screener of football it's is also utterly irrelevant. As such it continually needs "noise" to justify its place at the table of conversations. So that's their psyche and context.

That Ch9 is not declaring Kane's brother is an assistant coach at Port poetically reveals their motivations behind their baseless hit piece on Josh Carr.

These people are all school yard bullies. This is residual superiority complex Victoria vs South Australia.

Kane is their guy. Chad is in their team, Ken is their guy, their AFL saved the pissant club from Adelaide. Koch lives in Sydney and is in television ao he's their guy too.

Warren was not kumbaya on covid and is an easy deflection from their guy. Josh Carr is not in their team now, suggesting they know Ken's days are numbered and want to take pressure off Chad if not ensure Josh is not part of any new furniture ( And by extiension that Chad is). Ask yourself why, of all people in the box they went for Josh here, never mind why they still won't question Ken's record here. Never mind that Josh has only been there what,_16 months?

Wilson did do a hit job on Warren (or at least tried), when Warren spoke about the Chris Davies comments about the list he said he disagreed & was surprised by the comment - he then said something along the lines “ but Chris is closer to that than I am”. At the risk of being accused of misreading the situation I think Tredders is backing away from a reaction he gave on the spur of the moment.

This morning's press reports that a caller rang 5AA and slammed Ken Hinkley and basically called him a fraud and a con man. The caller also said that Josh Carr should be given a go at coaching the side for the rest of the season. Warren Tredrea responded with 'good call'. For all intent and purpose that implies that Tredders agreed with the caller.

Now, having given the matter some thought, Tredders has backed away from his endorsement of the anti Hinkley comments and is trying to tell us that his good call comment has been misinterpreted. Tredders cannot have it both ways as he either agrees with the anti Hinkley comments or he doesn't.

As I see it no one is attacking Warren Tredrea over his comment but many are asking for clarification.

They're looking for any angle to oust him coz just like our coach they're SCARED.
