An attempted troll of Melbourne fans maybe ??

Why?

I mean, its highly unlikely but i hope the club have spoken to his manager, put a contract forward to his manager and started selling the club to him.

We won't get Oliver or Petracca and a first, we likely won't get either of them at all but that a good way to start if true, aim at the top with a view to meet lower for a few firsts..

I would want 2018 first and Salem, he absolutely slots in to our team and that position vacant now from smith, allows Seedsman to push Mackay out, we are better with salem than Mackay..

I meant as far as the Trade Shouter posting it. Was always going to get plenty of Melbourne fans jumping up and down posting something like that. Which I assume is good for business and attracting followers.

Burgoyne had major knee problems and was almost going to quit the game until Hawthorn told him they could manage it.

Tippett was hardly a "star" of the game.

Nice way of rewriting history. You don't get almost $1 million per year unless you are considered a star. Not now and certainly not back in 2012.

So Burgoyne was shot was he? He was going to quit?! Yeah that is why Hawks gave up two 1st round picks for him

Any other excuse you want to roll out while you are at it?

Losing Lever shouldn't be the difference though, our squad is well balanced this time around

I never said it was the difference! This discussion started by someone laughing at North because they missed out on Kelly and can't seem to get a big name player through the door. They have an excuse, they are rebuilding and are out of finals for a few years. What is our excuse? By contrast to North, we are contenders in the premiership window, offerring big money but we can't get anyone either. Not only can't we attract a star while we are contending but we are also losing a player who we penciled in as a future captain of the team and who was in AA squad as a 21 year old.

Those in stone houses......

This just posted. Absolute dream result for us, but surely this is no chance of happening ??
If Melbourne are gonna pay Lever the reported $900,000 then Oliver and Petracca will have to be on the cards.
There's no way in hell we'd be asking for Salem and a draft pick, that does nothing to help us challenge in our flag window.

This isn't a bad idea, actually

Imagine if Melbourne slips to 10th/11th and Rankine/Rozee slides, that's a very good deal

But then again, they're very likely to climb, too
Go back a month or two and Melbourne were just about flag favourites with many in the AFL media. After they beat us at home, they had their tyres pumped up massively. Their best was more than good enough to play finals this year, they just didn't do enough throughout the year to earn a spot. Had they finished in 8th, I think they would have demolished Port. If you were taking their first pick of next year, you would want to be working off being between pick 12-16. Which wouldn't be close to enough to land Rankine if he has another good year next year at u/18 level.
