You know Jack Williams rucked a fair bit also, right?55 vs 24 in the hitouts is a big issue in that one
Yes but it wasnt a 60/40 like split those 2 had. 55 to 33 if we go all up.You know Jack Williams rucked a fair bit also, right?
Well he does have 10 years' experience on him.Yes but it wasnt a 60/40 like split those 2 had. 55 to 33 if we go all up.
Biggest area of concern was that 2nd quarter where Goldstein won a ton of clearances against Williams.
And thats why Bailey Williams needs to get better. Its not the 1st time its happened either and is a clear weakness in his game right nowWell he does have 10 years' experience on him.
Well, I'm sure he will. He's only just ticked over 23 years of age.And thats why Bailey Williams needs to get better. Its not the 1st time its happened either and is a clear weakness in his game right now
When you include ruck contests it’s even more false.
The problem with training the mids to read opposition taps is that means Bailey needs to be regularly beaten. At the moment you dont know if he's going to palm it Naitanui-esque or miss the ball by half a metre so the mids have their work cut out for them. But bulking him up too much restricts his work around the ground, stoppages and marking.
Why not focus more on his strengths and work around his weaknesses in training the mids to read opposition taps (like many clubs did with Naitanui).

Can just picture Sheed’s trademark little crouch down trying to hold his position while he gets trampled over while the opposition runs away with the ballI think the mids let Bailey down a lot more than Bailey let's the mids down.
He regularly hits them clean af and the mid that is supposed to be on the end of it is easily pushed under/off the ball or running the on their wrong side and turns back into traffic coughgaffycough
The number of times our target player is moved off the drop by his man and Sheed's man runs in and hits it uncontested for an easy clearance is criminal.
Our structure and mindset at the clearances is worthy of our ladder position. It's worst in the league by a long way and has been for some time.
Don’t need to bulk Bailey like Nic. Think 5-6 kgs is enough where he is big enough to compete the big lads but also agile and nimble to play like he does
2023Hold on. Is this a troll?
Bailey won the 5th most taps in 2024? Out of 18 clubs.
But every second person on here says he is useless and not a ruckman. And no other club would have him.
it would be even worse if you showed "taps to advantage"If it’s for 2024 it’s an obvious troll.. this shows how bad he actually is
