Imagine you're some scrub defender and you somehow find yourself 1 out in the forward 50 against Reid. I'd delete my account right there.
Well shit. If anyone had any lingering doubts about what we've stumbled on, today's game should have put them to bed.
You can watch decades of football and see good players, bad players, dud players and star players debut, develop, have careers, get delisted or retire and win flags, brownlow medals and AAs along the way- and not experience what we are now experiencing. That's how rare a prospect this kid is. He's astonishing.
I'm not even going to try to analyse it or think about his contract or get annoyed at the hype, or worry about how it could go wrong, I'm just going to enjoy something that is genuinely a once in a lifetime experience for a sports fan.

I love that it wasn't even an aggressive fend off, like he almost felt sorry for his opponent and wanted to kill him as gently as possible. He probably whispered "Shhhh, it's okay"

I'm a divorce lawyer but if you're in WA I can't help you.Phil's Dad, in all due respect, I love your insight into players/drafts/footy.
But, there is no way I'm gonna go 100 with a recommendation of a divorce lawyer from you after your Harley call draft time and after. Assuming you are less experienced in number of divorce proceedings than AFL drafts, of course.
WA does their family law entirely differently to the rest of the country.
But yeah, Phil's call on Harley pre-draft was inaccurate.

Bloke wanted Reid to Dees more than anyone.

Not really. It’s just too risky if you get it wrong.
In fairness though, Harley probably wanted the extra challenge and asked him not to.

Anyone else a little concerned by simmos comments in the presser? Something along the lines of:
He's carrying a heavy weight
Look after him, we want to keep him here
He looked like he was having fun tonight
Wonder if the attention is getting a bit much for him. Heck me, he's one of the best talents I've ever seen. I just love norf, I remember celebrating their win against gold coast like we'd won a prelim.
