No we won’t, we won’t have Cripps, McGovern, Kelly, Yeo will be 32.
If we replace them with B graders our future would look extremely poor. Poor enough for a player like Harley potentially looking around and thinking “this mob aren’t going anywhere anytime soon”.
We need to hit every single pick in order for
Us to be looking like a decent team in 3 years.
I don’t think Cripps, and to a lesser extent Kelly, not playing is going to have the effect you think it is.
I actually reckon Schofield was talking about Harley with his "didn't follow instructions" clip.
Reid probably spent the most time on Cripps and obviously didn't do enough defensively IMO.
Still baffled Yeo wasn't told to run with him all game, regardless of whether he rests forward or not.

Reid probably spent the most time on Cripps out of anyone, and obviously didn't do enough defensively IMO.
I'm sure a lot of it wasn't Harleys fault either. Only so much you can do as a mid who hasn't completed 1 actual AFL season, let alone pre season and you're matched up with a Brownlow medalist, AA and AFL veteran.

I doubt it. I don’t think he’d be nearly as Frank and scathing about a first year player.
My sense is it was probably Yeo post first quarter. Schofield said something about how Carlton changed their positioning in second quarter, and that’s when Harley spent most of his time on Cripps. Yeo was on him earlier, and was doing decently.
It would be astounding if Schofield put that at the feet of a first year player.
I could see it if Schofield told Harley to just run around with Cripps for a bit and get a feel of what it's like to man up one of the best in the game. Like you I assume he's got the senior mids in the gun for that comment.
This.People: How dare the players not react to Hewett getting knocked out
Same people: Harley needs to tone it down
**** off. He needs to ramp it up and drag the rest of his useless ****ing teammates with him.
Having said that, Simmons abomination of a game style was never going to be eradicated in 4 weeks. It probably shouldn’t have been surprising we reverted back to it. It may not have been what Schofield wanted.
Looked like they reverted to it after coughing up a stupid number of turnovers from rudimentary disposal in the corridor. Players appeared to lose confidence as the game went on.
Worked just fine for Carlton.Given the conditions going handball happy through the corridor was stupid in the first place. Hardly a shocked so many missed.
You mean ufc guys? But stuff like this needs to separated with work life balance in mind.He was at the casino a couple of hours after the game with some very questionable company. Not the best look..
Worked just fine for Carlton.
Players missing 2m handballs to teammates completely open can't be blamed on the conditions, just pathetic skills.
True. We were served up a shit sandwich of both missed easy handballs and fumbles. To be fair Carlton missed heaps too, but they at least didn't fumble it every time they went to pick up the ball.
he's doing a sporty with benny cuz tomorrow night, is that any better companyHe was at the casino a couple of hours after the game with some very questionable company. Not the best look..
Woukd love to hear what you describe as “questionable company”?He was at the casino a couple of hours after the game with some very questionable company. Not the best look..

Assuming it was for the retaliation for Newman’s dog act. Did he also get fined?Copped another melee fine. Third offence so $5,000 down to $3,125 with an early plea.
At least some Carlton players also got fined this time.
He’s going to make some serious coin over his career but maybe he needs to start saving his pennies and not constantly be involved in pointless wrestling off the ball.
The umpires and the AFL are failing in their Duty of Care to Harley by not enforcing the high tackle rule.Assuming it was for the retaliation for Newman’s dog act. Did he also get fined?
Don’t think we can expect a 19 year old not to retaliate to what Newman did.
Which Schofield? Shits getting confusing nowadaysI actually reckon Schofield was talking about Harley with his "didn't follow instructions" clip.

If he wants to play in front of nobody at the MCG after Collingwood has bottomed out, sure.
Or live in the meth-addled hellhole that is Geelong.
Or get smashed in the head by Gatorade bottles.
