No. Looked worse than hbf previously. Seems to have lost confidence with all his injury and illness setbacks.

Last game showed a bit of improvement. Do you read Kyle Horsley’s WAFL sunnaries?

Looks a fair way off an AFL debut to me. Looked very promising last year on hbf then did his hamstring badly.

Haven't read one for a while, maybe I should start again. haha.

Interesting take. Not sure I've understood clearly but it sounds like you are saying the Reids 4th, 5th, 6th and 7rh games of his career were his peak and is once in a lifetime form? I guess for most players it would be, but strap yourself in mate because he is a first year player who will get a lot better- hard as it is to believe.

Interestingly despite his obvious talent and a few match winning performances, his career best for Wonthaggi was 5 goals in a side that finished top of the ladder and played a couple of awful teams last year, so not a bad effort to match it this week!

Heard some rumblings prior to the WAFL game that he'd be thrown in over the next couple of weeks so imagine he'll be playing next game.

Heard on a podcast yesterday that there is a theory the Pies tried to hide him away abit. He started the season like a house on fire in a key role up forward and then 2-3 weeks before the draft he was shifted to HFF in a more defensive role. Some saying to try and dampen his chances of going early in the MSD. No idea if its true but interesting nonetheless, especially given he has sparked up for us in his first game.

I heard this somewhere too, I dont think its unlikely. That role change was just too convenient of a timing, glad we caught it however

Be funny if Hutchinson playing a different role further up the ground showed the versatility that the club referred to after drafting him. Especially if that was the tipping point for choosing him
