Welcome to the club, Reuben!

Really like the Jack Crisp comparisons, actually. Similar style, perhaps not the best kick in the draft but hard as nails and consistent. Would think he’s only going to get stronger, given his broad shoulders- look out in 3-4 years.

Which means he could just as easily start round 1 on both the HBF or in mid rotations if fit.

Was hoping for Pou but knew we would take Tonic (bookmark it, your heard it here first).
I don't mind it. The graphics showing strengths and weakness had ground ball gets and score involvements as elite. Both key aspects we need in a mid. Kicking efficiency not as good but it was also mentioned he takes the game on, always goes forward and attacks which typically results in some turn overs.
With Hewett at our next I'm bullish on this pairing.

Certainly a big unit, should be able to feature regularly within his first year.

If he continues on the path he took towards the end of the season, we could very well end up with the kind of player that a team can be built around.

A fair amount of speculation involved here, but the additional first round pick in hand (used on Hewett) allows the club to pursue higher risk without waging the entire house.

At worst, he'll still function as an able replacement for Duggan. At best he could emulate pre-OP Yeo (who also once was a Fremantle supporter).

Seems to have a good amount of campaigner in him as well.

I don't mind this pick at all. Midfield rebuild is well on its way.

Welcome to the Eagles Reuben.

Guess it was between him or Philipou. Would rather Poo but I think this guy ends up a solid Flanker at worst, hopefuly a big bodied mid at best. Wesley boy too - so must be of good character.
It's the other way around. Pooh is the tweener who lacks endurance, speed off the line and agility. Can pirouette and snap a goal and he's got smarts, but he's a much more cumbersome type who will wind up as a third tall/ utility. Best case he's a Goddard type.

Ginbey is the inside midfield, defensive beast with burst speed. Not an accumulator yet but that's running patterns/ outside game related. Best case he's an Oliver type.

Mr 55%? Even getting a clean run out of packs he sprays it
SPP runs at 65% as an example and the lowest in the afl sit at a floor of 60%. A bit of work to do

So he's got of bit of work to do.

Hopefully he gets the chance to work on his fitness, strength and football skills professionally for a couple of years before passing proper judgement.
