The man is averaging 30 touches a game in a team where our supposed super stars are still on a holiday
Hopper & Taranto are the only 2 players actually getting the ball going our way

I would hate to think without their 65 possessions what would have happened last night

Pick 4 for Hopper plus 31 is overs. I don't think he is damaging enough or has much x factor for a pick 4 in 2022/23. We should have at least held on to pick 31 as some sort of deal closer to a reasonable middle ground.

12 and 19 for Taranto is ok.

A lot of finger pointing at these blokes mostly unfair. We're 5 games in and Hopper has been our BOG twice as well as missing a game and getting injured in another. Taranto has worked hard, lacked polish and goalkickicking not great but still in our top 3 or 4 players overall across the season. It's not pick 4 for Hopper yet sooks.

We've played mostly top teams thus far and are riddled with injuries. In a fortnight some cavalry will be back and we'll be dining on the carcasses of some sh1t teams boosting our ladder position and percentage. It's so easy for so many around here to blame the new guys and make excuses for our untouchable 3 times premiership players. Prestia has been largely dogsh1t but so many will invent excuses.... Ooh the pec must be worse than we thought because a fu@ken pec muscle really effects how you kick???? Hopper actually has had an injury but where's the cutting him some slack? These blokes will turn out to be great pickups a bit of patience is required.

I’m under no illusions that we are currently a middle of the pack club right now and still working out the right mix but these two guys are by far the least of the current issues

We have been in every game we have played including the Sydney one that went off the boil in the last 10 minutes

Hopper showed some really nice composure stepping through traffic on Friday and kicked it well. These guys are seriously the least of our problems.

This year the main problem has been as mentioned Injuries to important players and the suspension to broad but
the absolute rubbish thats being produced by our senior experienced players has been putrid and not really giving the club a chance to win
Martin , Bolton , Grimes , Vlastuin , Pickett , Prestia are having terrible season and probably a couple more i cant be bothered mentioning

Combined with the kids that are being played (like we all wanted) if you senior core players are performing so badly this is whet we will get

Martin hasn't been the martin we know from 2017-2020 but he hasn't bee that bad. He's averaging 19 and a goal playing predominantly forward
Bolton has been poor, I said that last week, he needs to play predominantly mid to stay involved or he mentally switches off IMO
Grimes just looks like he's nearly trying to hard, then playing safe which is causing errors
Vlas he been poor, he's playing off his man as the 'interceptor or third man up' but he's actually not launching into the contest at all, and disposal by foot has been putrid along with poor kick selection, dropped off a cliff
Pickett has been 50/50 IMO, Carlton and Adelaide he was a huge reason for our strong performances there, but he's had a couple of shockers to go with, not bad IMO
Prestia is the outcome of everyone trying to Hopper and Taranto into the play. Watch Carlton, he was good there, but then all we heard all week was how we missed Hopper, no all we do is look for Hopper, and we are missing Prestia, we will find the balance eventually I think

balta , Bolton , Cumberland , Taranto , Hopper , D.Rioli , Young and a couple more between 23-26 in that mid age group

If we had an in form Lynch, M Rioli and a better version of Dusty inside FWD 50, we win every game so far this year.

Our forward line is not performing, these guys are.
