I get where you are coming from but what you are describing is an over-reaction from a supporter. I would much prefer decision makers within the club be making what they deem to be the best decisions to achieve on-field success rather than aiming to appease overly emotional supporters.

But whats missed here is that we know the club identified Cumming and Lukosius a long way out so is it an over reaction to be dismayed in the Club if we were to have missed not just Lukosius but aso Cumming? And possibly both to our cross town rivals.

So it was established the club though both these players were going to improve our list and thankfully we ended up landing one of them and thats a win not just for the improvement of the list but also for optics that as a club we can land identified targets.

You really are not having a great day, are you ......arguably the two most important roles in today's footy are the intercepting DEF ( Stewart, Ridley, McGovern) ...and the QB Half Back

GC are paying a high price to get Rioli, to play HB .....PORT are chasing 2 x first round picks for Houston, to play HB ....such was the importance of the role to BRIS, they moved Zorko back there, after losing Kiddy

The year for GWS has been huge off the back of the Whitfield drive off HB .....likely top 2 in the GWS B & F

When Milera went down, and Smith imploded ....we lost that run off HB

So you may want to revisit your view of the modern QB - HBF in todays game

I’d say draft a top end midfield such as Draper, FOS or Lalor and blood games into them from round one. I’d also string games into Curtin, Dowling and Taylor unless injured.

I’d love for us to start looking for a ruckman and small forward too.

Not really, most posters indicated they would be very disappointed which explain the high negativity with it's "understandable" Sid's "camp" as they thought this would affect Cumming's decision.

Yep, initially he is a high half forward with hopefully some CBA'S. He also drifts forward and presents a horrible match up as a very agile very tall mid / forward with a very nice kick

It's extremely difficult to just trade in high quality forwards and defenders, which they've been trying to do but failing at. They need draft capital and quality picks, which they haven't had for years.

Trading out Houston and bringing in JL just moves them sideways.

Yeah, the Lynch role with stint on ball.

Which is why I wasn't fussed by missing out on Lukosius as imo we have someone who can play the role better.

Just watched the Channel 7 sport. Barely a mention of the Crows a very slight mention of Cumming choosing Crows, to save face and talk more about Port. Also Josh Money sounded like he was going to cry while talking about Cumming and Perryman not going to Port

Their forwards and defenders are rubbish.

Many sides (not us) can put out a midfield the equal of Port's, and be better around the rest of the ground.

Even though i do agree to a certain extent... Their finals record speaks for itself compared to ours... People on this board need to acknowledge that and theyve done it by nailing their draft picks and very shrewd trading. They'll be playing finals again next year where we're probably in the group fighting for 10th.

Ya I agree that it sounds fishy but it's possible to follow the board sporadically or passively when your interest is dulled from years of incompetence and i guess different periods of life too. Nothing i said was inaccurate too so shouldn't be pointing fingers!
