Toby is not your man then, he's more a forward than a ruckman.

Unless his ruckwork elevates along with his strength I don't see him as a lead ruck, more a KPF that's a better option than Gollant/Borlase/Burgess as a decent chop out option. I'm pretty sure we see him as the Himmelberg replacement who it seems we are convinced he's on the move. i.e. excellent depth.

Didn't take the club long to add him to the player list. (Key Forward 20 200cm)

I would back him to take a contested mark over Burgess and the old Berg.

Has it finally clicked for the Berg, just as he is collecting his exit pass? I doubt it.

Looks like a good pick up, will take Berg's spot as the back up Key forward once he leaves next season.

As others have said, he may get a game in the next couple of weeks with Berg still out and TT a while away yet.

Probably not, unless you're drafting a 21--22 year old. Rucks take an absurdly long time to develop.

Mind you, even with, ROB isn't performing at a level where there would be a lot of pressure on him. Starting to build, of course, but we're still a while away.

Was hoping this year that we could have tried Himmelberg & Thilthorpe sharing ruck & forward duties... but filthy's injury buggared that.

Next season it would be good to look at Turray & Thilthorpe combo at least for some games.

I think we still had a 2nd pick in the midseason draft.
